Re: Board cover up rebellion presumably wasn't you who just bought 422,000 shares at 43p then CM?

SHRE Iclaude 12 Dec 2014

Some Level Playing Field Re RNS concerning directors buys at 1326hrs today. How is it that the directors can get these shares at 34.125p each and yet when I try to buy some on the open market, I get quoted 35p to buy? Several sells at 33.6p prior to my attempt to buy and a few buys at 35p. Nothing showing on trades as 34.125p. What a stitch-up! Come on The Share Centre, let's not be old curmudgeons in the season of good will.

Re: What's going on? Silver on LSE reckonsWhy do we think that DB would let someone take over now rather than in 5 years once he has had chance to grow the company the way he envisages? Seems far more plausible this is nothing but people once again getting in in anticipation of news next week. Nothing but traders IMO.

EPO CaptainMultibag 12 Dec 2014

Board cover up rebellion ADVFN:"AGM finished this morning and a reliable source has told me that the Board lost a couple resolutions as there was a multi-institutional rebellion. 100s of millions of shares voted against a couple Board recommended resolutions, to restrict their powers. Looks like Board has decided to cover up this public domain bad news until late in the day. Expect RNS nearer or after 430. AiM rules require prompt publication of AGM votes but hey EPO's board dont burden themselves with such things, rules, ethics etc. Every other company admits the AGM vote within minutes. EPO board want to cover it up for hours....The December 2013 RNS on the AGM resolutions was announced at 13:12 that day. But for 2014, EPO is 2.5 hours later and counting...Aside from poor ethics and wanting to create a false market in the shares, why are the Board doing this? The share price on the AGM last year in 2013 was 43p. So, as a matter of fact, EPO has been a bad investment this year. No dividend, no capital gain. That is poor for a supposed breakthrough year in a bull stock market."

HSTN Greyinvestor 12 Dec 2014

Good cash recycling Don't know if you noticed some good cash recycling by HSTN, on Dec 8th?It's just typical of them; flog some stuff at a higher price, fully occupied, then buy some stuff that is 20% empty, and at a higher yield. Well done HSTN, and a good explanation of why you have done it.Ironically the seller is SGRO, in whom I have shares and about whom I've constantly grumbled that they sell higher yielding stuff and buy lower yielding stuff in the hope of a better future return. Not the strategy that I would follow.HSTN seems to be a bit out of favour and have a mountain of shares being shorted. I know that the LTIP will probably knock the NTA back by 2p to 3p, but I am still perplexed as to why they believe that HSTN will decline. I hope not; I have a significant amount of my worldly wealth tied up in it! I'd love to know what they are thinking.........

Re: Why are we being squeezed out? There are many government departments with various levels of corruption, endemic where there is power, so it's all a matter of playing one off against another. I anticipate/hope ORCP CEO knows the full picture and how to play this curved ball, to the benefit of shareholders that is....

BUY FITB plc at .09p

SOLO Gazza 12 Dec 2014

I did state in Sept / Oct that SOLO would fall drastically, The singes were that it could not hold the sp over .01p every time it was challenged. I do however feel that at .0034p it's woth a punt and sell at .005p

Re: Access Fire and Security No just did a visual may_sell but you are right that is not good if the links don't work. That should be the first thing to get sorted unless they integrate it into their own web site.So what is the history here. Why the big drop over the years ?It seems quite cash positive so all can't be too bad at the moment and unlike a lot of AIM companies it does a small dividend at the moment so their must be some regular profit.I am guessing there might have been some cash calls and dilution over time for the price to be where it is now.

Re: Next Year From the FT link I posted previously, under the "Earnings history & estimates" section:"On Aug 08, 2014, Catlin Group Limited reported semi annual 2014 earnings of 0.70 per share. This result exceeded the 0.44 expectation of the one analyst covering the company and exceeded last year's results for the same period by 0.38."Which just illustrates how little analysts know and why you shouldn't put too much faith in forecasts.Nevertheless, the earnings bar charts don't look too bad to me - orange = forecast / red = reported. 31st December 2015 is too far away to make any meaningful analysis at the moment IMHO.We aren't yet at the end of 2014 so it doesn't make much sense to me to be worrying about what the results might be at the end of 2015 - reported in 2016. Anything good or bad could happen between now and then. If the divi turns out to be 31.55p for Y/E 2015 (and that figure is only forecast - see above) it will still be more than it was when I bought into Catlin and (depending on the share price) it may well still be an enticing dividend yield to buy into. The shares - currently 576 - are near the top of a trading channel so there is a potential trade there, but if they drop to the bottom of the channel I'll still be in profit. The problem I have is that I've come a cropper before - selling at the top of a channel - only to watch as the damn sp breaks out of above the top of it.At the end of the day I think Catlin and Amlin are two of the strongest insurance and re-insurance companies out there so I'm continuing to hold both for the time being. If something fact based comes to light then I'll reassess, but I ain't selling on the basis of some random analyst(s) calculations that more often than not turn out to be miscalculations.
