Re: Record Date today The value of the company hasn't changed just the number of shares its divided in to, so all things being equal your investment will broadly have the same value after the 15 for 17 restructure, plus one gets the 71.9p dividend. You probably need to look at the price before the announcement to make a fair comparison, as there was a rally investors to ensure they had stock on the 19th of Feb.

Re: Strong buy pie eaterI dont know what you mean by SLS. I used the FTSE as most people are familiar with the FTSE 100 index. The SmallCap index has pretty much follwed the FTSE give or take 2%, so the camparison is valid. Even taking the SmallCap index as a comparator the results for Acorn are just as atrocious. Over 1 year:SmallCap down 0.76%Acorn (AIF) down 19.75%3months/6months or even 2 years - SAME STORY. Acorn's stock picking skills have to be questioned and I am certainly not relaxed about it.

Re: 300% RISE! Well I'm not sure about a bidding war but your 5p valuation could be on the button. Our Brazilian masters would have pulled the plug long ago if they didn't see real value somewhere and I suspect that either a bidder is already in the offing or they want to a take the company in house before profits take off. Either way we're better off and from a personal point of view I was delighted to discover an extra 120000 shares tucked into my sipp which I really thought I sold a year or more ago. My isa holding had dwindled in value where I was about to give up on them too. About time I had some luck on aim.

Re: Photos show huge onsite activity They look good to me and the Indians can get a lot done in short order once they pull a finger out. 9-5 doesn't exist over there so long as they can see what they are doing. I wouldn't be surprised to see some operations by end of the year, probably not 100% functional, but some capability.

Re: 20.2.15 Placing RNS The trend in the TGL placing prices is going UP: 0.275p last April (shell refinancing), 0.38p last October (GOS Systems acquisition), and 0.4p now.And look what happened after the last two placings: they marked the bottom of a trough, and preceeded a share price doubling/trebling.My feeling (a tad cynically perhaps) is that a major purpose of this placing is to allow insiders to buy in ahead of the March trading update, and the next acquisition. Ilyas Khan in particular will have wanted to rebuy his full holding at less than the price he sold for, and I would imagine that he has now done that.I would hope therefore that this now marks the end of yo yoing troughs and spikes in the 0.4p-1p range, and that TGL can now start a relatively steady and SUSTAINED rise.

20.2.15 Placing RNS 20/02/2015 070 UKREG Touchstone Gold Limited Issue of Equity"London, 20 February 2015 - Touchstone (AIM:TGL), the AIM listed investment company today announces that it has placed 125,000,000 common shares of no par value in the Company (the "Placing Shares" at 0.40 pence per share with a number of existing and new investors to raise GBP500,000 (the "Placing". THE FUNDS ARE BEING USED FOR ACCELERATED EXPANSION, WITH INTERNATIONAL INTEREST GROWING.2. ""As we now know, GOS has emerged from administration much better than we could have hoped for and as a result, we are pleased to confirm that not only have existing customers remained with GOS Systems, but that GOS has added new customers both in the United Kingdom and also overseas...."EXPECTATIONS AT THE 4TH. There is an established customer base, for whom GOS' products provide essential services. ... "THIS IS THE QUISSENTIAL NON-DISCRETIONARY BUSINESS: THE RISKS TO LIFE AND PROPERTY BEING COMBATTED ARE JUST VAST (THE POTENTIAL ECONOMIC HIT FROM A MAJOR TERROR ATTACK SCARING PEOPLE AWAY FROM MALLS & PUBLIC TRANSPORT COULD BE MANY BILLIONS).TGL now looks like a quite compelling buy at just 0.425p.No need to post too much, as the coming RNSes and s.p. movement should do all the talking necessary.Just kick back and enjoy the ride.

Re: Strong buy Why do you keep quoting FTSE when majority of holdings are small cap?Look at small cap return in general has been atrociousHow about comparing apples with apples? How has SLS. Done for example?I have held this for quite some time and John's untimely death was obviously a MAJOR shock, but there is only one other group I am putting money with in this cap range at the moment and that is River & Mercantile because of the recent change in personnel over the last year.I have my money where my mouth is.....and I am relaxed about it - but it will take time because of the cap range involvedPE

Re: Hi cold as......... Hi Old CobblerI am not a ramper or a de-ramper and hold one share, Barclays, for better or worse.I did however live through 1998-2002 and think I have seen similar companies and similar CEOs before. Maybe stupid is unfair, if so I apologise.I was however telling people to avoid this share when it traded at £8.00 plus. I could never understand it.I can't stand the CEOs personal PR and agree with Paccamac on the misleading announcements. If you know Stephen, please ask him how many CFOs there have been in the last 3 years? That is a warning sign to me. Good luck with the investment. As you say, time will tell.Djark

MIRL Barrie 20 Feb 2015

They're not going to run out of money. They have numerous options in that department. I don't know what gold price will be but Minera IRL will do well in either a high or low gold price environment.

ESNT nk1999 20 Feb 2015

Re: Decent Results A summary from UK-Analyst:"Essentra (ESNT), the supplier of specialist plastic, fibre and foam products, grew adjusted pre-tax profits by 11% to 133.4 million pounds in 2014 on the back of revenues growing by 8%. The company put the good results down to product innovation, more sizeable business wins, expansion in existing and new markets, supported by further cost reduction and efficiency programmes. Essentra also announced the total dividend would be upped by 19% to 18.3p per share and that it has bought Australian plastic product distributer, Specialty Plastics, for an undisclosed cash consideration. Earlier in the week analysts at Deutsche Bank put a "buy" stance and 935p target on the shares, which finished the day up by 78p at 963p."
