Re: smith report today Hi OmahamanYes I understand it's the same it just burns cleaner I guess. Although not much of a scientist myself I have to watch "Breaking bad" to get my formulas to stack up.😄

Re: smith report today 'fracking is ideal replacement for fossil fuels.'You seem to be under the impression that fracked gas is somehow not a fossil fuel. It is just CH4 the same as any other gas, the only difference is the extraction method.

Maverick 16 Dec 2015

Re: smith report today Yes the News channels reporting for the next 30 yrs that fracking is ideal replacement for fossil fuels.Up 3p.Looking positive.Mav

smith report today good pomotion for Fracking

Omaha man 14 Dec 2015

Re: Is this the saviour?! Fracked gas is just another fossil fuel. It must - and in Europe will - be kept in the ground. In the USA the situation is obviously different, but most fracking companies are heavily indebted and once the first few go under - probably early next year - the whole industry could easily collapse (to say nothing of the banks who have lent heavily to these companies).

Re: Is this the saviour?! I think Wrong is a little harsh. After the recent Paris talks and the banning of fossil fuels apart from the odd tremor ( ;-0 ) fracking is the away forward surely!

time to buy back in - oversold when this is back over 50p people will be left licking themselves.

Omaha man 05 Dec 2015

Re: Is this the saviour?! Wrong. Eventually the people will win. The government can over-rule Lancashire and any other council responsive to it's electorate which bans fracking, but that will only double the resolve of people to make sure it will not happen. Not anyway that that will need to happen since it's obvious it isn't going to be ecnomic any time soon.

Is this the saviour?! Well I have been in some SHOCKERS! this was my top tip last year at £1.17! Thankfully I got out and what did I buy? Caza and Mossman both down from 40p to 3p so they are all I repeat SHOCKERS!Still I have bought back in today. I know how Councils work and that gives me a little hope that these may have a future. Eventually the Government sees sense and the Nimbys lose. Same happened with Sirius. We will have to wait but the INEOS tie in is good news and that Radcliffe fellow? god the way he dealt with the unions in Scotland with their refining strikes I would back him all day long.BUY.Maverick

Time to buy Report in this morning's Times that fast tracked fracking appeals will be decided by Greg Clark, the communities minister, who will override local council decisions if deemed appropriate. First up is Cuadrilla's appeal to be heard in February. Once the first is approved others must soon follow.
