Re: Lunar - IPO That's like saying the Chinese should pay tradesmen to produce higher quality goods! You are limited to the resources at your disposal. Most of the construction workers in UAE are from Pakistan or India, those are places where electric testers consist of a person touching the wires to see if they are live! So you can imagine! In your case you would have to prove a level of fraud that would involve more than just the board of directors. I doubt you are even close to proving one person acted beyond the scope of their title. Good luck to you, though. It's all good therapy for your group.I do hope you guys weren't foolish enough to stick all your cash in this crumbling business? It's been an exciting start to this year already, lots of money to be made elsewhere.

Re: Strong buy For some reason there was a surge in buying last year pushing the NAV around 10% higher than the asset value. I suspect that this has left a lot of disillusioned buyers (Uncle Doug?) who are now jumping ship. As long as the NAV keeps going up I'll shall hold and collect my divi every quarter.Make no mistake this stock will follow the stock market down but that's about as volatile as it will get.I have added 1k lately,

Re: Dropping like a stone today "I expect someone is drinking champagne, taking drugs, and in the company of a prostitute with my original investment money! "I don't think you can get all that for £150.But seriously anyone taking comfort from (a) reported cash balances (b) positive statements from the house broker and/or Simon Thompson in the IC (c) audited accounts or (d) it being on AIM does indeed need to take a look at Naibu. It had all of those elements but as some of us had worked out quite a while back, it appears to have been a fraud and now the exec directors have disappeared. Maybe it's unfair to tar another similar sounding Chinese company with that brush but you have all been well warned so if it goes the same way, please don't start bleating about City slickers as Loadsadosh likes to do, as if he bears no responsibility for his own investment decisions, let alone advising others to buy and trying to shout down anyone who said it looked like a wrong 'un.

Re: sold out and signed off Guitarsolo,It's difficult to chase high yield, as Centrica illustrated yesterday. There are catches with most overly high yielding stocks and the same fate could await many of the other utility, oil and commodities companies. When your core products halve in price it's difficult to justify. There is significant value in non high yielders.eBay is interesting as they will spin off Paypal this year and the estimates are that PayPal standalone is worth more than the current market cap of eBay. Ironically Centrica is also not a bad bet now that the share price has been trashed. The new CEO has kitchen sinked it and it could look good next year and is sitting on a 4.8% yield even after the 30% cut.Royal Mail group isn't too bad now that it has no pension liabilities (the guvmint gave all that liability to you and me to sweeten the float) and pays a reasonable yield. Tate looks sweet for a take over on 5% yield. Games

from Plastics News Xeros cleans up with polymer beadsPRWPublished: February 19, 2015 1:53 pm ETUpdated: February 19, 2015 1:56 pm ETPrintReprintsFont size: AATweetShareImage By: Xeros Ltd.The Xeros washing process replace water with polymer beads.Related to this storyTopicsSustainabilitySix more U.S. utility companies are offering financial incentives to their customers that adopt technology from Rotherham, England-based Xeros Ltd., which uses polymer beads to clean laundry.Xeros has developed a method for cleaning clothes that largely replaces water with nylon beads. According to the company, its washing machines use 70 percent less water, 50 percent less energy and 50 percent less detergent than traditional appliances.Customers include hotels, commercial and industrial laundries, dry cleaners, spas and fitness centers.Columbia Gas of Massachusetts, Connecticut Natural Gas, PG&E, Questar Gas, Southwest Gas, and Xcel Energy are now offering incentives to customers that use Xeros’ energy savings systems. In total eight firms are using the product. The inducements are part of an initiative under the Federal Energy Management Program’s Energy Incentive Program, which rewards users of cleaning technologies meeting specific, pre-determined energy-saving milestones.Xeros polymer beads gently agitate stains and soil away from textile surfaces. The company says users also do not have to separate most colors, as the beads absorb stray dyes, and have noticed laundered items smell fresher than when washed in conventional machines. The polymer beads can also be used for hundreds of washes without losing their effectiveness, before going back into the supply chain and being recycled into items, such as car dashboards.Xeros CEO Bill Westwater said: “Traditional commercial laundry machines use a tremendous amount of energy to heat a large quantity of water. using beads, made from a special stain-absorbing polymer as the active ingredient for cleaning fabrics, and washing at lower temperatures, our systems dramatically reduce the amount of water used and natural gas consumed.”SAGE

6 more Six more US utility firms back Xeros technologyPublished on the18 February 2015 17:12TweetPrint thisSponsored by 0 commentsBe the first to commentSix US utility firms have agreed to offer customers financial incentives to use Xeros’ commercial laundry systems, it has been announced. The Rotherham-based firm’s machines use polymer beads to clean clothes using a fraction of the water of traditional laundry.Xeros, which is based at the Advanced Manufacturing Park, already has a growing presence in the US, with customers including hotels, commercial and industrial laundries, dry cleaners, spas and fitness centres.Columbia Gas of Massachusetts, Connecticut Natural Gas, PG&E, Questar Gas, Southwest Gas, and Xcel Energy will now offer inducements to customers for using the technology. The National Grid and Liberty Utilities previously backed the systems. The eight organisations offer a combined total of more than $275,000 (£178,200) in customer incentives for using the company’s technology. The incentives are part of the Federal Energy Management Program’s Energy Incentive Program, which rewards users of cleaning technologies.Xeros’ machines are proven to reduce natural gas usage by up to 100 per cent and water consumption by up to 80 per cent compared to conventional machines. The also use half as much detergent and helps clothes look and feel newer for longer, Xeros said.Xeros chief executive officer Bill Westwater said: “Traditional commercial laundry machines use a tremendous amount of energy to heat a large quantity of water.“US utility companies are seeking proactive strategies that help them and their customers save energy, reduce environmental impact and control costs.“Our systems provide proven financial savings and energy conservation, as evidenced by the tremendous growth in the Xeros Utility Incentive Program, positive response from customers and accelerating adoption rate.”SAGE
