Uranium price 'jump' Latest market update shows uranium price is getting progressively better. [link] This shows September spot price rose to $27.5/lb (August $26.3/lb) and the long term price for September was $31.75/lb (August was $31.25/lb). A good sign and should help ensure that APF’s uranium interests keep on going. The price plot is also looking quite promising. I noticed that the thermal coal prices have come back a bit from their very elevated levels over the last few days, possibly reflecting the price of oil coming back a bit. As for nickel - it is so volatile but currently around $12,400, which still looks good on a 3 year plot. The Buzz

Today's Opening Fall Hi Nick, I am glad that my postings have been of use to you. They have almost been a diary for me and imposed a discipline in endeavouring to properly check out things. I have always tried to be factual and provide the link where I garnered the information. I have quite a few more shares in APF than you so I need to stay on top - and try and not look at facts with rose tinted glasses. At least your purchase today was at a lower price than the current price! Like you I have made many ‘mistakes’, although if the market goes the wrong way has one really made a mistake or was one just unfortunate? As I said in my post, the likely APF royalty stream still looks strong. Even the price of gold rose today! Perhaps there will be a silver lining with this market fall for APF and give them a chance to buy a royalty at a more advantageous price than would otherwise have been the case!? The Buzz

Today's Opening Fall Hi Buzz. I have been reading your thoughts and comments for over 2 yrs and today is the day that I thought I would thank you. I remember buying APF at 125 and then being 101 and bought many times, the lowest being 107, the highest 152. Today I put another 4.5 K into them @ 136 and now have 20,000+. Thanks for the advice and your thoughts and I must now think of when I need to release a few to make some money. However, with the ‘Simply Wall street’ website saying their future cash flow value is £3.69 I could be being too greedy and hoping for a large jump one day. Best wishes and good luck with all your investments. Nick Ps, I have also made many mistakes so it’s been good to know one share is not doing too badly.

Today's Opening Fall Whilst I am not savvy to all of the facts, this morning’s fall to currently 132.5-136.5p (134.5p)(about 10p down) is a surprisingly big fall. I had anticipated that the LSE would fall this morning to reflect the falls in the USA and Far East - but not this big a fall. It is said that there is a flight to safety. I would have thought that APF was one of the safest investments about. Strong coking coal and thermal coal prices. Vanadium has gone up again to around $24/lb, nickel is still strong. Plus APF have just got a huge financial package arranged. Perhaps some in the market just do not understand this share? Now 136.5-141.5p (139p). Just shows how ridiculous the opening fall was on a relatively small amount of trading. The Buzz

I suspect that this will be only a temporary blip as other supplies become available, but a reduction in supply may improve the short to medium term supply of coking coal. Over $200/mt is a good price for APF’s royalty. Meanwhile the price of V2O5 just keeps on going up. Depending where you are, it is now about $22/lb. The increase in the price over a year is amazing and looks to be approaching the peak of $25/lb hit in 2005. Hopefully the price will hold up a bit longer than it did before. [link] The Buzz

Narrabri Hi Buzz, many thanks for this and all very encouraging. Given the money that APF has coming in, coupled with the financing available, I have thought for some time that a ‘big’ deal may be in the offing. Could be interesting times ahead… and for the dividend ! S

Further higher price for V2O5 - now nearly $20:- [link] So all in all some good prices and hence royalty revenues for APF. I can see a bumper dividend coming up. The other question is what will be the next royalty purchase with the significantly grown war chest? How much are they putting aside for the vanadium venture:- [link] as the APF web site mentions $70m, although the time scale could be quite a long one so may not be of immediate relevance? So all in al things seem to be slightly better than last time I reviewed things. The $90m war provides the opportunity to further diversify from coal and make APF less reliant on the price of a sincgle commodity and spread the risk more evenly. I suspect that a larger royalty base and spread should make APF more attractive to IIs. The Buzz

Extra Funding - $90m Available Th fact that the banks are letting APF borrow up to $90m speaks volumes. It gives APF much more credibility and clout. If they can maintain their track record of buying royalties that yield much more than the cost of borrowing (that looked quite reasonable), then APF will improve its profits further and add to a more diverse portfolio. Is there a big deal coming up?? The Buzz

Top Up Time HI Buzz, good points all . Interesting that directors have been buying at above 150p level. As mentioned I am holding for 165p before selling some as I am still optimistic it will get there… and probably higher. I hope ,however, to remain a shareholder for some time given my belief in the company and strategy. I also look each day for news a new acquisition but will probably have to wait a few weeks. Well done on your profits. S

Top Up Time HI Reeves family, One just has to accept that the share price will move in mysterious ways and that one can benefit from the swings - see my earlier posts. I have some APF salted away for long term holdings and recent speculative purchases meant for very short term exposure on a share where I have too much exposure. Fundamentals seem little changed - uranium has just moved up a but the volatile nickel price is down a bit - so probably little material change in outlook. Today’s positive news are some share purchases by directors. Short term holdings - last week sold 3030 at 152p and 4509 at 155.15p so having bought around the low 130p level gave a very quick 20p a share profit. What matters is the slope of the change in value, not the extra weeks waiting for that elusive extra 1p a share profit. There was an article in the DT about buying shares - “fly like a butterfly and sting like a bee” ie take your time in choosing a target and attack when you have found one. This morning to my dismay (having previously accumulated a useful profit) DVO share price suddenly dropped on my real time screen. Checked for any adverse RNS (- none) So sting like a bee so bought £5k at 185.9p. (Mid price now currently 189.1p). No immediate plans to sell APF with silly spread of 150-157.5p… but I still need to trim my remaining short term holdings - no rush - perhaps we will see 165p a share return? The Buzz
