AGM today Hi went to it to. Thought a very positive picture with a board who know what their plan is and are sticking to it. I agree, a very strong hold and will buy on any big dip. Pity Buzz is not around as he motivated me to keep adding. So glad I did ! s

AGM today Went to the AGM today. I like to go periodically as I like to see top teams in action together now and again as it gives me a feel for how the company is getting on. Essentially the team gave me the impression of being pretty pleased with the way things are going and pointed to the results of Q1 as evidence for their optimism. They are quite positive for 2019 and increasingly confident that the niche in which they operate is in a strong position to benefit from the downturn and the difficulties that mining companies are facing over financing. Nothing new came out though there was some comment on the Four Mile uranium project. You may know that APF are in dispute with the operator who has made “deductions” from the royalty sum due which according to APF should not have been made. The likelihood is very high that the dispute will go to court in Australia later this year despite the CEO, Julien Treger going to meet the operator during the year just ended. So it’s strong “hold” in my view

Where is the buzz? Hi Buzz, where are you ? The share price has really done well. I must admit have sold some at a great profit, and others when I got cold feet about the general market at a lot less than I later could have got. To you should go some credit with the great research you provided on this website. Hope you are sharing some of the spoils ? I must admit hope it will drift back post the AGM so I can increase my stake again. Best wishes and thanks S ps I will be at the AGM.

Excellent results Excellent results and good news re dividend. The next deal ? Where ? When ? But the company certainly is building some financial firepower . S

reevesfamily4224 04 Mar 2019

Very quite re acquistions Must admit to being a bit disappointed re no news on any acquisitions. Money flowing in plus line of credit and all the financial advisers in place but just no news. Hopefully something big before the AGM as will be a rather quite affair if not. S

Brumadinho Mining Disaster Brazil Mining news:- BBC News Hundreds missing after Brazil dam collapse A sea of sludge from the collapse of the mine dam buried a cafeteria where workers were eating. and an absolute disaster for those involved. Something tells me that there may be potentially wide ranging consequences that will have a knock on effect on other mines and if I start ‘firing’ from the belt with assorted vague memories then I might hit on a relevant theme or two. So for a bit of thought provoking I have a addressed a few concepts (that when I work through them) appear to me to be beneficial to APF - so I invite others to post against on this discussion board. The 2015 dam disaster was in nearby Minas Gerais, and was partly partly owned by BHP Billiton in what they thought was an arrangement with no liabilities, but they still ended up sharing the $1.8bn fine with Vale (not to mention clear up costs!). Not only was there massive death and destruction, but also by definition an environmental disaster from the poisonous tailings. If one goes back a few years when the price of iron ore collapsed to a ‘tier 1 level’ of around $50/t - the price of shovelling Australian iron ore, APF had a big interest in an African iron ore mine called ‘London Mining’, but the fall in London Mining’s costs was not quite fast enough to produce iron ore at a lower price than the falling price of iron ore and went bust. As for Vale, they were responding by producing monster bulk carriers. to keep costs down. Brazil has been accident prone with APF separately losing out with the destruction of the port of Amapa on the Tocano project. It strikes me that Australia is geologically safer than Brazil, is more suitable for monster highly automated pits, plus with the recent falls in the price of oil the transportation of iron ore is more efficient to China than from Brazil. So the logic follows that BHP Billiton in time will review where their operations are conducted and progressively move exposure away from Brazil to Australia. It just so happens that APF has a big long term stake in the Pilbara region with BHP Billiton - which might be advanced (and in turn their royalty payments) as a consequence of this unfortunate disaster. OK we are talking long term here, but BHP Billiton will have the financial muscle, existing facilities and experience to move things along quickly if they want to - and the royalty payments to APF from Pilbara could be massive. In terms of current trading, there appear to be stronger iron ore prices now that ought to be helpful to APF, but I have not researched current supply/ demand with high quality iron ore pellets to decide if this is meaningful in terms of the final dividend!!:- cmegroup.com Iron Ore 62% Fe, CFR China (TSI) Futures Quotes - CME Group Find information for Iron Ore 62% Fe, CFR China (TSI) Futures Quotes provided by CME Group. View Quotes As for day to day trading - miners were up first thing and dragged everything else along with them. The value of the £ rose at the end of the day, so the value of the $ remittances falls and so miners fell Sadly I thing anything too clever on the benefits of royalty payments might be just too difficult for Mr Market to understand. Superb trading statement The market trend is your friend!! Peanuts turnover - today the price is just being pushed up, with a small drop on pitifully small sales. I used 2 limit buys recently and on both occasions got the clearly highest quote. Just stuck in what I thought that they would get and left it running and the sales obtained were the local high, in fact almost at the local buy price. Some months ago I had a long chat with the Halifax dealing board. My conclusion is that things are not simple and has a man in the loop despite this being an apparently automatic process. The order clears the desk when the price is met and lands on another one. This person then sells the shares. Was 163-165p now 162-165p. We hit 165p before, surely we can do it again?? Must dash to hear someone talking about the latest astronomy paper. The Buzz

Superb trading statement Hi Nick, I sold a few yesterday just before close of play and managed to get 162. However, still hold the bulk because as I replied to Buzz I think they will hopefully go higher in the run up to the AGM and perhaps an acquisition before that. So you might have done the right thing by holding ! I would certainly recommend the AGM. We really enjoyed it last year and will be going this year. Good hunting ,Stephen

Superb trading statement HI all What a mad world trading is was thinking of selling a few at the INV stated price of 159.** was offered 160.15 then INV went up to 164 still only offered 160.15. Yesterday people sold at 162.49. Why will they not give me that price? Maybe I should be going to the AGM I’m only 1 hr from London, then I’ll know better what is happening.

Superb trading statement Hi Buzz, sorry to hear you’ve been in the wars and hope all ok now. Must admit I have sold a few shares today but still hold a sizable number. I fear I might yet regret selling as I just feel a sizable acquisition will be announced before the AGM. But as you say an uncertain world so no harm in taking profit and reinvesting in…….hopefully in the right things ! Best wishes S . PS my wife and I are planning to attend the agm this year as per last

Superb trading statement Hi Nick2726, I always get twitchy when I have lots of cash tied up in a share that has price movements faster that I anticipate. In the mean time APF has got one thing right in buying into Largo:- largoresources.com Largo Resources Named Top Performing Company on 2019 OTCQX Best 50 List Largo Resources Ltd. (" Largo " or the " Company ") (TSX: LGO) (OTCQX: LGORF) is very pleased to announce it has ranked number one on the 2019 OTCQX® Best 50, a list of top performing companies traded on the OTCQX Best Market last year. Superb trading statement HI Buzz Thank for your reply was just a bit worried. Glad to hear all’s going well with you. I’m also a bit twitchy about where the SP is going but comments have be put forward that may encourage other [link] However I believe you know more about APF than they do so I’m sitting on the edge of my seat as I know I missed out last time APF dropped. Best wishes to you Buzz that you are fully recovered and to S as well. Nick

Superb trading statement Hi folks, Sorry for not posting for a while, for two reasons, one sadly was not feeling too bright recently, but also because I am in deliberation mode (short term and long term). What JT has been consistently saying has been on the mark every time and has been forecasting excellent results to come. There have been fundamental and special reasons why coking coal, thermal coal, V2O5 iron ore have been particularly strong of late. As expected this has really given the balance sheet lots of strength and radically improved things. The Q4/ full year 2018 just had to scream out how well things were going. This has recently feedback into the share price where it has finally struggled above the 160p a share level. However, I did not perceive much share purchase demand - more a fundamental momentum price rise. Who knows what the big II s do in the background?? That is not to say that I am ungrateful as readers will know that I had sunk the bulk of my bank account of savings in APF. The dilemma was should I take some capital gains on this upward cycle (once again) while the going is good and perhaps buy back should Mr Market pull the price back to very attractive price levels again. So yes I have been making some profitable sales on shares that have already paid a useful dividend, but not too many to destabilise the share price, but still hold far too many APF! The next question is where is APF’s share price going?? At the moment I see momentum increase going . I like to be one step ahead of the market. … but what is happening in China, Trump and battery land?? I see a continued strong market price for coal albeit not at the recent relatively high elevated levels. Although I must qualify that as the weather in Australia has been a bit cyclonic recently - see map - [link] As an aside, most people don’t know this but after retiring early I embarked on post graduate astronomy research at my local university. We sent a student to Mount Kent in Australia in December 2018 to do some observing in weather that was bound to be better than in the UK! Nope - it rains there as well!! So yes excellent results, but I am always being extremely cautious at the same time, albeit that the risk profile must now be very low. Hope that the rest of you come to that opinion - and waiting to see if Kestrel does manage to double its output and push the royalty stream through the roof!! and for the very very long term holders - Pilbara will be something of an eye-opener when it finally arrives, not to mention Dugbe… The Buzz

Superb trading statement Hi N. Fingers crossed Buzz is on a warm beach somewhere and will return shortly. His level of knowledge of APF is just so much greater than mine and the bits of information he unearths are amazing. Thanks re the link. Not used that site before but wouldn’t that be just superb re £4.50 . Best wishes S

nick2723 24 Jan 2019

Superb trading statement Hi S Thanks for that. I do agree with you. I hope all is OK with Buzz it’s unusual for him to not have written anything for so long. If you look at [link] they still rate the sp or INTRINSIC VALUE BASED ON FUTURE CASH FLOWS to be £4.50. How I dream. lol. N
