Got a few. Tesco? Yes was long. Not now. Didn’t make much because was happy to take 10% back above my entry of the time. (Traded below entry for a fair period though) If timed it better would have done much better Haven’t looked since then until today. Not a buyers low recently

Got a few. Uncle_Doug: SP and my avg price is still well below the NAV, NAV can drop to price for them to meet Doug. Like they did with banks etc.
There are loads of underlying investments in WPCT of varying sizes. It’s well diversified. It only takes 2 or 3 of those to take off and I’m quids in
Ok lets say i accept that. But the fund has to exist to profit . Thats what I’m doubting Uncle_Doug: I once won a huge amount on a 100-1 on the Grand National (2008 I think). Lucky I guess but I do like the odd punt. I like the odd punt too. But it helps when the horse has four legs. Don’t get me wrong. I’m out today. I hope it hits 500p for you. I hope your right. A brave punt.

Got a few. I agree with what you say but I’m only down a bit down on the current SP and my avg price is still well below the NAV, which is good. If I was down on the NAV then I’d cut my losses. WPCT is a very different type of fund to most funds/shares. Lots of exposure to companies that would be impossible without a Trust behind it. There are loads of underlying investments in WPCT of varying sizes. It’s well diversified. It only takes 2 or 3 of those to take off and I’m quids in. Sure it’s a punt and I may lose but I reckon it’s worth the risk. When I make a bet on a horse I let it run. I’m not cashing in half way through the race just coz it’s a bit behind. In fact I’m upping my bet at these silly prices. I once won a huge amount on a 100-1 on the Grand National (2008 I think). Lucky I guess but I do like the odd punt. BTW - the next year will be telling as there’s important updates due out on a some of those underlying companies. I will review the fundamentals at year end and see if this horse is still worth backing. DYOR and GL.

Got a few. @Uncle_Doug I assume a fundamental investor right? Not charts ? I use both. What il ask you is this. Whatever fundamentals made you buy this, surely they are wrong now? I tend to consider mine wrong when down 5% or whatever from entry. Simply because I don’t buy expecting to be that much out on market pulse. So those fundamentals are dead. Price tanked. What new fundamentals, are keeping you holding? It’s got to be new ones now.

Got a few. @Uncle_Doug, yes completely about 2 years ago I don’t think ever got back to even that price . Put it all into Fundsmith Equity Fund at least recovered all my losses.

Armageddon 06 Jun 2019

Got a few. @Uncle_Doug Sometimes a loss is as good as a win when you reflect on it . Cut off points are pretty vital to others in profit

mememe 06 Jun 2019

Got a few. @Armageddon, after his first two major losses I got out at an average price of just over 90p lucky me in hindsight.

Uncle_Doug 06 Jun 2019

Got a few. Good luck to you too. I’m guessing you’ve bailed out?

Armageddon 06 Jun 2019

Got a few. I shorted this fund around 86p. And I’m so negative, I got out today because it might not even pay bears if caught up in drama.

Got a few. @Uncle_Doug, I waited 4 years and it never got back to the IPO price. Patience is a virtue but can also be a fool. Good luck.
