Re: Dido Harding Taking some profits today and the rest I lowered the SL in the money . I took a good scalp here . Still think this firm is rubbish , both as a service and as a product . I took my sweet revenge here . The truth is that cheap services are not the equivalent of cheap products in the way Aldi or Lidl are for products . Time will tell , but at least I banked a nice short .

Re: You CAN quit says Daily Mail I left in July or I would be leaving now.

Re: You CAN quit says Daily Mail Three times does make it rather hard for TalkTalk to claim they have acted in accordance with their own terms, but as to whether criminal actions of 3rd parties against the company and it's customers actually allow people to quit the contract is going to give lawyers plenty of cash in court time, but the end user will probably be out of contract by the time the case is even heard, in the meantime their credit records for late payment will have been wrecked.

Re: NEW ARTICLE: Is There Any Way Back For T... Motley fool want to make up their minds, they promoting TalkTalk a couple of weeks back, now the same fundamentals are being slated. Reality is Dido gets the boot, another scandal hits the news, and the world moves on. Yes it's 3 times now Talk Talk have been hacked, but they won't be the last major company to fall foul of misdeeds. What they do have to do however is prove they are doing something to stop spotty teenagers making them look incompetent fools.

NEW ARTICLE: Is There Any Way Back For Talktalk Telecom Group PLC? "Investors can prepare for all sorts of bad news about their companies, but the kind of hack that has floored TalkTalk Telecom (LSE:TALK) will always come as a shock. The early news suggested a "significant and sustained cyber-attack" had hit the ..."[link]

Re: In and Out Well done. Fast profit is very nice.Don't know why these ISP/Telecoms cos, (BT, TALK) are so keen to recruit Oxbridge PPE, marketing people as CEOs. It strikes me, that, if one charged a bit more and brought their call centre back to the UK, then people might switch to them. Cutting costs is fine, but, when customer service is dire, does Gavin Paterson, really thing people are going to have their landline, broadband and mobile with BT?

In and Out Bought in yesterday when I thought it had settled but down £360 at close!. Thinking to early but after news about the 15 year old the share rallied this morning so got out with £222 profit.I was customer but left for BT in July so don't know if they retain my bank details?I think the CEO has to go. Three strikes and your out but don't know if she was there for all?. Good luck to shareholders

Re: Boy, 15. Arrested Over Hack Attack "TalkTalk sent a message to its four million customers".They did indeed - my mother is one of them.It effectively said that due to the quality of TT's service they were going to increase the line rental charge and various other fees were going to be "simplified". I pressed the link to get more details and got a picture of Brighton Pier instead. Fourth increase of the year, I believe.£6.8 M per annum for this hopeless car crash of a CEO is obscene.

Boy, 15. Arrested Over Hack Attack [link] 15-year-old boy has been arrested by police investigating an alleged hacking attack on the TalkTalk website. He was held on suspicion of offences under the Computer Misuse Act, following a major breach of the telecoms firm's website last week.Police are now searching his home in County Antrim in Northern Ireland.TalkTalk bosses said they shut down their site last week following the "significant and sustained" attack in which customer details may have been stolen.TalkTalk sent a message to its four million customersOn Friday it said it may have been the target of a ransom demand by the hackers. The company's four million customers are being asked to check their accounts for any suspicious activity "over the next few months" and change their passwords.Anyone who believes they have been directly affected by the alleged data theft should visit [link] breach is the third in a series of cyber attacks that have affected TalkTalk customers. In August, the firm revealed its mobile sales site was hit by a "sophisticated and co-ordinated cyber attack" in which personal data was accessed. In February, customers were warned about scammers who managed to steal thousands of account numbers and names from TalkTalk's computers.

Re: Dido Harding When US retailer, Target, lost customer data, in 2013, Gregg Steinhafel, their CEO resigned. When Sony Pictures were hacked last year, Amy Pascal, it Co- Chairman resigned. The brand has been damaged. Harding has already admitted that Talk Talk's defences could have been stronger.Very simply, she needs to be sacked.
