Re: Dividend reduction Stepenwolf, That's useful to know. I might move my ISA, as SLI is actually my biggest holding.

Re: Dividend reduction Well, Halifax paid the full amount to me

Re: Dividend reduction ii are now saying I'm not getting the tax money back!!! Their reply:'Our Dividends department have informed us that STD LFE IN PTY (LSE:SLI) was paid with 10 per cent tax deduction. Please note that we only reclaim tax of 20 per cent. '

Re: Dividend reduction Thanks baylea, fwiw I transferred my ISA to II from Alliance Trust about 18 months ago and it was hassle free, with all shares being transferred with no loss/ selling. Whether transferring out of II would be as simple I don't know .....

Re: Dividend reduction No I haven't yet. I emailed iii on the 7th asking about it. They have raised this issue with their dividends team to investigate. Their email to me says to allow up to 10 working days for them to investigate this matter. Personally I can't decide what to do. To move to another ISA provider will be expensive as I will have to sell and buy again!

Re: Dividend reduction Bayleaf/PJ did II ever credit the dividend reduction to your account, I've not received anything?

IB Investor 29 Jun 2015

drop in price There has been a lot of postings about the drop in dividend but these all seem to relate to problems with iii - has anyone an knowledge as to why there has been such a sharp fall in the share price?

Re: Dividend reduction In that case, I'd respond to their comment of:" In this case, it is down to how the company have processed the payment to us which is generally outside our control."With the question of - "how is it that other trading platforms have been able to ensure that SLI pay the PID gross, whereas you have not been able to? Do you recommend I change to another ISA provider?"Cheers,

Re: Dividend reduction Ok, I asked 'Is it possible for you to arrange with SLI to have the PID payed without the tax deducted in the future, as they have arranged with other REITs?'Their responce:'Our preferred method of receiving the PID (Property Income Distribution) for tax efficient accounts is to have this paid gross. This saves us the manual process of claiming this back from HMRC. Where the tax is deducted at source, this happens before the payment reaches us. In this case, it is down to how the company have processed the payment to us which is generally outside our control. 'As long as the deducted tax arrives in my account I'm gonna leave it now. Of course it does affect my attidude to iii and makes me think I should move to another company.

Re: Dividend reduction ...and other platforms dont deduct it (example Halifax)

PJ Foster 10 Jun 2015

Re: Dividend reduction Hi Baylea,That's good to hear - I presume I'll get a similar response at some point too - why it takes them so long to reply, I don't know. The thing to do now is ask them to arrange with SLI to have the PID payed without the tax deducted in future - as they have arranged with other REITs.Cheers,

Re: Dividend reduction I got a reply for iii:'The Standard Life dividend applied to your account is a PID. Property Income Dividend and is subject to 20% tax deduction. When you are charged a 20% rate on tax of a PID, we do reclaim the tax from HMRC and credit the refund to your cash account. It can take around 4-6 weeks from the date of the dividend being made to the refund being applied. 'So we'll get the money back, just have to wait a few weeks.

Re: Dividend reduction Yeah well done PJ, we may just get a result from I I on this. Following the appalling response I received I sent an Email to SLI, and received a nice response to say they will look into it.I've still to respond to I I but will do so.

Re: Dividend reduction Good work PJ

Re: Dividend reduction Hi BayleaThat sounds familiar - I transferred some Unit Trust ISAs from Fidelity to iii myself, hoping to make savings from iii lower charges. However since then have had nothing but trouble, innefficiency and mistakes from the iii team. I was going to import my Halifax investment trust holdings (including SLI) into iii too, but the litany of mistakes and slow response rate from iii has decided me to go the other way and switch out from iii to Halifax !
