Re: Dropped too much Buy Price of copper has been dropping fast. It depends if they can still generate cash at these prices.

UphillStruggle 04 Dec 2015

Dropped too much Buy Well I've been watching this one for quite a while.... Copper production in Q116 was up 33% totalling 1,272t Cu compared to Q415. Gold production was also up 33% totalling 1,986oz Au. Silver production was up 46% totalling 15,664oz Ag.Q116 financial results expected on or before 18/12/15.Could this be better news that nobody has spotted? If the increase turns into increase profits this will jump. I increased my holding at 2.90p.... It's highly speculative but probably worth a small punt

Re: Fall Would be nice to know where all the profits from several years of mining went. They should have built up a huge war chest by now if you believe the figures in the financial statements over the past few years.Obviously reported profits are quite a bit less than actual cash flow so I just cannot fathom where all the money has gone.Any ideas anyone ?The market cap must be close to cash in the bank now so the market seems to put zero value to the mining operation.Did I see an RNS recently about Tinma paying upfront for the copper or something or have I dreamt it ?

Fall At this rate of decline and the onset of winter when no shipments will happen the future for Rambler looks pretty bleak. Compound that with the fall in copper prices, which will probably not start to recover until next April/May if indeed they do at all.Why do the board not invest if they are that confident of keeping this open for another 21 years....Regards KM

Re: Executive Compensation Thanks for the advice Phronesis and I undrstand your logic but my loss would be too great so unfortunately I will have to wait and see.Regards KM

Re: Executive Compensation KM5: I think this is the wrong approach. Do not wait and hope it will reach 33p. Sell, move on and invest your money somewhere else where the prospects are higher to make some gain in the next 6, 12, 18 months. I do not see any hope for Rambler. That is only my advice. Good luck to you whatever you decide!

sp topped starting to go back down to 10p but very strong support at 9p

Re: Executive Compensation Bought at 33p so not really an option to sell but rest assured if we ever get back to 33p I will sell!! And the mission statement changed which has been mentioned.

Re: Executive Compensation The change in mission statement was well advertised and I believe was intended (and still is) to create shareholder value. A short mine life would not be good for shareholders. As I said if you disagree with the mission statement then you should have sold.

KarlMar5 04 Jun 2015

Re: Executive Compensation Well put doc-lee. I would also like to add that the "Mission statement" changed to "prolong the life of mine" all very laudeable for the staff (which I do care about) but not for shareholder value.Regards KM

Executive Compensation All too often management/directors are criticised for failure to invest in the companies that they manage. In the case of Rambler Ogilvie was paid C$ 192k last year or about £100k. The next highest director was paid circa £52k. I suggest that these are not astronomical amounts indeed are quite modest by UK standards. All of the key figures have share options which will begin to expire in the next 2/3 years. I think we should credit the directors with common sense and a need to balance their own lives. If they exercise these options they will need to use a considerable sum of their own money or be forced to sell some in the market (probably with tax consequences). The directors are not responsible for the fall in the copper price and the drill results seem to my uneducated mind to be quite positive. If you don't like the way the company is run then you should sell. Ogilvie has done what he said he would do and is not paid a fortune (admittedly he has other directorships to boost his income, but he is still not highly paid by Rambler)I await the next evaluation of the drill results to see before deciding to stay or sell myself.
