Re: Concert Party Anyone know roughly cost per share of their holding?

Kenj2 31 May 2017

Re: Concert Party Alex Brummer - Daily Mail City Editor mentioned POG this morning. His closing comment was: "Time for the Takeover Panel to ripple its muscles"

Re: Concert Party Found this when googling concert parties."Mandatory offerThe City Code (of the Takeover Panel) requires that if a shareholder or a concert party acquires more than 30% of a company it must offer to buy the remaining shares on terms as good as its most recent purchases. The reason for this is that 30%, although not giving a shareholder formal control, is sufficient to give effective control. When a change of control takes place it may adversely affect the share price. This is because minority shareholders are likely to worry that the company will be run to suit the controlling shareholder, and the interests of minorities may be affected. Therefore, it is only fair to allow them to sell out at the price that the new controlling shareholder paid before the change of control. There are circumstances in which the Takeover Panel may grant a waiver from the requirement to make a mandatory offer — for example, if major shareholders state that they will not accept the mandatory offer. Re: Concert Party That's something that occurred to me Shangha1, and I have been meaning to look into the rules governing this, but so far have not had time.I suspect that Renova have covered their backs, but if you spot any clear rule breaking then report it to the LSE.

Concert Party It appears to me that Renova Asset Holding Limited, Sothic Capital European Opportunities Master Fund Limited and M&G Debt Opportunities Fund II Limited are probably acting as a concert party. Either LSE should intervene or the companies should make a take-over bid.

Renova trying to seize control RNS Annual General Meeting"Petropavlovsk PLC (the "Company" has received requests from Renova Asset Holding Limited, Sothic Capital European Opportunities Master Fund Limited and M&G Debt Opportunities Fund II Limited (shareholders of the Company) for ordinary resolutions to be proposed at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting for the appointment of four new directors.Shareholders will be aware that it is the Company's practice for all directors to retire at every annual general meeting and in this connection the Company has been advised by the above shareholders that they currently intend to vote against the re-election of the Chairman and the three independent non-executive directors if they offer themselves for re-election.The Company intends to make a further announcement on Monday 15th May 2017."Renova apparently also control Lamesa, and M&G is part of Prudential. So the combined group could hold 35.38% of the shares plus a bit more if they convert some of their options. This is a powerful hand, and they are effectively telling Peter Hambro and the three NED's to stand down, or face the humiliation of being sacked at the AGM.

Re: Oh well was doing so well The volume traded is the important here .... Makes for volatility. It is better to accept that you won't buy at the bottom because of fear, and you won't sell at the top because of greed ....... and you can't identify either at the time because they can only be identified in hindsight.

Re: Oh well was doing so well It actually came off to 7p in a hurry which was worrying.. I bought some on the way back up - 7.25p - and thankfully it found a level above 7.5p by close.. it has still has come off a fair bit though and so maybe normal DOG service is resumed.. but lets wait and see for a bit, as its fairly volatile whatever.

Re: Is this DOG turning Puppy, at last? Agreed, although I have been in since April 2013 at 150p (ouch!) Been following down and added at 140p, 130p then 8p Oct-16 and finally 6.5p Mar-17. Need 17p to break even, and think that will be achieved in a couple of years time once the POX Hub is fully commissioned and in production. Needed (and still need) a strong stomach for this one, and hopefully patience will be rewarded. With the imminent breakup of the EU, Trump invading NK and the upcoming hot-war between GB and Spain over Gib, things can only get better for the gold price!! (April 1st is a bit late in my area )

Is this DOG turning Puppy, at last? Wakey wakey this time pleaseAgree with Shugg1e that this is undervalued but it has been for a good while now and the worry is it will stay undervalued for a good while yet.It has flattered to deceive a few time by going above 8p only to then fall back to 6. or 7. something soon after.... so I'll only add more to my position here if it breaks through 8.25 p this time.Excellent long term hold, whatever im
