Re: Heading back.... Possible take over? I still struggle to see why WV would feel any great need to pay much of a premium for PCI. Firstly it has the technical issue of making an offer for the company that does not breach the takeover rules ie <100+p. And secondly why would it want to take on the debts at 100% of face value. It seems far more likely that they will be trying for some sort of asset purchase or debt renegotiation. As the lenders are extending the deadlines I assume that they are sitting at the negotiation table trying to hammer out a rescue deal (aka Strategic review). It a very dangerous time for small investors. Looking at todays large number of small value trades it looks like the gamblers are in town Think carefully and don't fall in love with the upside.

Re: Heading back.... Possible take over? take over price, haread the RNSit has received an extension of the current waiver of repayments under its Senior Bank Facility to 5 February 2016. The Company's lenders have also indicated their willingness to consider such further waivers as may be required to continue the strategic review process based on circumstances applying at the time of any application and with specific reference to the progress of the various initiatives being undertaken pursuant to the strategic review. In a nut shell they dont have the money to service the debt they have, they are bankrupt and will be bought for pennies on the pound.Fusion98

Re: Heading back.... Possible take over? Thats true, but it should be north of 40p thats for sure. Absolutely not what we are looking for.For me £200 mill might be fair, of 4 times roughly the current value. Its a shame the oil price crashed so quickly leaving good companies floundering.Anyway. Worldview wont want to wait to long so it should be days not weeks before they make an offer.

Re: Heading back...... Strong Buy. And the big boys think so to.The largest ever gas find in the Med coupled with s derisory share price means real value.

Re: massive rise sold at the bottom, typical.Value of company = value of assets in todays market - debt = sweet fek all.Fusion98

Re: massive rise Tjuringa I agree ! I think somewhere between 25-30p is realistic although I think worldview might try a cheekier bid ! They have got this company by the watsits! Not currently invested (but a former holder) 2009-2011....Good luck guys

Tjuringa 22 Jan 2016

Re: massive rise absolutely - I would say something more like 30p. They will have to put a couple of hundred million in funds into the company to meet its obligations so that is where their main investment will be rather than the shares!Worldview might be the only ones who will buy the company given that they own 30% already - other interested parties may wait to see PCI in receivership and then bid for the assets without the debt.

Re: massive rise someones on the wacky backy if they think thats the price they will pay. Its an opportunity bid as they hold so many and protecting their money. Probably hold for a short time and do a trade sell later on for massive profit.

Damp Seaweed 22 Jan 2016

Re: massive rise I understand where the 120p comes from, but Worldview would have to be off their trolley to pay that sort of money. Probably far wiser to sit tight and wait for the passage of time to drop the required bid price or cozy up to the debtors and see about an asset purchase. It sure looks like it's frightened the shorters with a nice squeeze.
