Re: competition make no mistake the market is tough in all sectors with dog eating dog.I think the store roll out may slow down as they push their on line Naked wines.Having sold out this is getting close to my buy back.At 300p I would certainly be back in.tiger

competition Just had a booklet posted through the door about Lidl wines. Looks like they are starting to promote nationwide their wine cellar. Just looking at the first 15 bottles of french wine from their website, their average selling price is around £9 a bottle. Now I always thought Lidl was a cheap place that sold £3 wines, but it certainly seems like they are in the same sort of place as Majestic. Is this new to just me or have Lidl always been selling more expensive wines? Any thoughts on this?

Results New CE obviously wants to clear the decks so tone more negative than if had been no change in CE. My experience as a customer with Naked Wines is excellent so far. Tough market but holding to see if they can significantly increase online sales.

sold out in full I just think 280p to 449 today is too much too quick to refuse.I said we may get to 500p in 3 years but just 50p short I have decided to bank my gains. More tax to pay!!so where to now........I am buying LPA for a 12 month 100% return at 83p and MLIN for a huge dividend. The remaining lump I have put into EASYJET as I think profits will be ahead of the market and I can see 20.00 in 6 months.good luck holderstiger

Re: bwc.. fine wine market Thanks normandy .This wine broker said they had to be kept in a certificated bonded warehouse as they lose value if you can not prove how they have been stored.

Synergy Impressed with Naked Wines - just joined via MSE newsletter. They have some interesting promotional ideas eg 'angels' and will be able to pick up orders from majestic stores. Looks a good fit with Majestic.
