Re: Profits needed In which case you best move on. It's coming is my opinion and numbers and profit to follow. But guess I am invested so ignore me!

tejo 18 Feb 2015

Profits needed I am afraid that the only way this share is going to recover is evidence of firm orders received and substantial profits realised. Starry eyed wishful thinking by the management and investors needs to be replaced by action and results

Mopping up more Looks like the little punter has given up on LPA.........Big mistake in my opinion. That said if you miss targets expect to be hammered. The political environment and so forth are the main reasons in my opinion. That said you structure your business to ride out this problems because they aint knew.I remain of the opinion that the company will come good and make us lots of money.I still see 2 million being a target profit going forward.Till the market turns I will just keep buyingtiger

Re: target 120p ( brokers ) First bought into these at 60p and then didn't sell at 140p - had a target of 180p.So now 70p - they are a better company than they were when I bought in originally - new premises and increased orders. They are better capitalised and now need to roll their sleeves up and start delivering - this is a tiny company and their operational gearing when they start delivering will be significant - potentially very significant. May take a few years but when they get this right the current price will prove to be a great investment.

target 120p ( brokers ) Pre-exceptionals, the final results, as expected, reflected a static performance in a year which saw a successful move to new premises. The year-end order book was 26% higher at £8.2m and the order entry increased 35% to £18.6m. Low output in the first quarter of the current year will mean another year of slow progress, but order entry topped £7m in the same period confirming that Group prospects have never been stronger and point to a potentially exciting year in 2015/16. The shares are a buy on any weakness. The header from the note. Its amazing that you can still only buy 5000 shares and sell as many as you want.Watch out for a bounce back.Tiger

Re: Results Indeed I was a little ahead of the game.Got the latest note which gives a target of 120p based on550k this year ( all in the second half). Bit more if they can squeeze a profit first half.Over 1 million in year starting OCT 2015.Few business have the visability that LPA have. I remain a buyer and expect it to climb back up.tiger

Re: Results I looking at EARNINGS EPS pre exc costs which was the same issue last year.earnings to me are that.If they shove the kitchen sink through as exc items it does not change the underlying earnings of the business.Tiger

Re: Results Results would indicate that next 6 months will not be that good although orders ok the actual time span for producing them seems to get longer and longer. I think that share price could drop further until we see some signs that actual order output is on a steady upward trend,I am not reinvesting until that happens.

Re: Results Tiger I think you have been a bit over optimistic-your post last year.20-05-14 Re: started buying againCASTLEFORD TIGER They are all very small trades. We are a month away from half year numbers that may be a bit boring..............BUT the second half should be great and going forward after Sept into 14/15 we should see t/o well over 25 million and profits of 3 million or so.This is a better bet than the housing market.Especially at these levels where we have seen they can gain 35% 110 to 150 in a few days.I shall re main a buyer for the time being.tigerPrice at time about 130p

Re: Results I fail to see how you think eps is really 6p.Where does the extra come from?I also note that if the previous years exceptional item (propety sale) is removed from that years profit, then the eps for that year would also have been around 2.5p.Given things haven't improved during this year, it's a further confirmation of my understanding of 2.5 being a true figure.I'll be amazed if 10p is possible next year, it's clear from the outlook statement that the first half is unlikely to be great. (bad first 3 months and improved 2nd 3 months). That says to me about 1.25 eps for first half. If they can double this years whole performance in the last 6 months, (and thats asking a lot) you still only get to 6.25p for the full year. At that point they will start to look cheap, however there is a lot of hope value in there for that to happen. So I'd want to see some evidence of that in the interims outlook statement before getting back in.Having a much smaller position than you allows me to be more nimble with getting in and out. For me it's a clear sell, however with a much bigger position I can see that would be much harder. So whilst I can see some rationale to you not selling, I can see no reason to buy at these levels. They will either get cheaper or stay overvalued, neither makes it a buy. LFG

Re: Results I agree with your assessment.I so nearly bought into these again last year, but the previous trading statements didn't seem clear to me (re orders booked/sales) and unnecessarily over confident (maintaining a £24m year end orders run rate) so I decided to hold off. I think this will fly, eventually, but I see the share price sliding from here (especially as the production doesn't look like picking up until Feb).
