Re: Got stopped at 72p Onedb1, I wanted to ask you a couple things in private. Could you drop me an email, if it is possible, [email protected]

RAnd 14.2 !!! arrrghh! !This is good despite the crash I can't see a bearish USD?ZAR chart . Which is what I have been looking at so much . Am off for a beer ! Early for me but this was a kick in the teeth . I'll bounce back . To me seeing profits evaporate is painful but could have been a lot worse if the position went negative . The part that hurts the most is not seeing coming .

Re: Got stopped at 72p One to remember. Keep an eye, more profits will come soon once the dust is settled.

Re: Got stopped at 72p Will see Jey80Negative momentum has hopefully peaked , certainly looks awful on the hourly hence difficult to see go further down , (but then I feel awful commenting on Lonmin given how I went so poorly) What irks me even more is the Rand getting crushed ! this is great news . I hope for the holders that the impairment scare is just absolutely an over reaction Me I will live and learn , but my good profit was wiped out here . So will have to restart rebidding . At least I had a stop . The other mistake I made was not to have a trailing stop . So in my journal this goes down as several errors , to be flagged and remembered. As crashes do happen even on what seems to be a nice upward trend

Re: Got stopped at 72p USA is driving it down. You will get another chance in 50s

Got stopped at 72p this was my 2017 disaster !! Blew all my profits away on this stock . I am left speechless , whats worse is that this will then rebound lol ! You watch , as its so typical . Everyone gets flushed out then boom it springs up again Very oversold too, not just on the hourly but on the daily down to 38 from 74 RSI . What a swing Adding insult to injury Rand is getting kicked almost 2% down on the dollar which is great news for the cost base .

2:30 USA They will drag it down.

Re: Didnt expect this one at all Hi appamamaNo luckily I was not involved on Quindell too much . I think I had a tiny short there too. That was a terrible one for many though . Maybe I played it both ways thereHere am long from 70 and at 105 I was looking at quite a bumber profit . Am disappointed with myself as RSI was over 70 by quite a bit and at the very least I should have taken profits on the slightly lower high we had yesterday My mistake entirely , not blaming anyone or bad luck . Having said that the covenant waiver in early October did suggest fundamentals where not such an issue and Rand even today is taking a beating vs the USD . PGMS are not too bad either with Palladium up close to $1000 as I type. Truth is that these events teach us that one has to be well capitalised to sustain such drops and not over leveraged . I was 3 quarters of the way into a fully loaded position . So it does hurt to see a good profit evaporate like this . At any rate the potential impairment of the current worth $1.1bn assets is yet to materialise , and cash is being generated so the drop is now factored in or the wording spooked everyone unnecessarily . We'll find out . Maybe we get a RNS to clarify Again I find it weird that we get the Pandora RNS then we get today's reaction TA did not help me too much or I read TA badly ! RSI over 70 should have had me take money off the table Lesson horribly learnt

Re: blo*dy lonmin this company wiped out all shareholders a year or two ago with a massively destructive dilution. Yet no one learns. When they run out of cash again, what do you think will happen...Move on, I did a log time ago and wont touch this company again ever.

Re: Didnt expect this one at all This morning reminds me why I don't like to hold individual shares. LMI is the only individual I hold. bought at 67p-sold at 220p and bought back in at 206p so on balance I'm evens or there abouts! Still it is only 0.6% of my portfolio.Could have made a better investment decision and can't wait to be out of this one!James

Re: Didnt expect this one at all I am surprised that you got caught, onedb1. If I remember correctly, even Quindell had failed to catch you on the wrong foot. That mention of covenant is a bit of bother for me. Platinum price should recover in a few months and I hope Lonmin will manage to pull through. If so, this is a buying opportunity, Then again, Lonmin has had three RI's so far, so one must be careful here.

Nice to Michu 03 Nov 2017

blo*dy lonmin held off selling for a good while but did sell a third of holding at 84p for a small profit .. would sell a bit more in mid 70' if it goes there .. and then sit and wait ... this share is as tricky as they come..Holding off publishing accounts like this will certainly focus sundry minds towards facilitating some big strategic changes.. in such an environment this can of course go lower.. I dont have a clue where it will settle or if/when when it'll start moving back up
