predictable predictable reaction to today's rate reduction.i don't think they should have done it, but that's another story.

Re: why so ignored I think we have entered a sort of phoney war period as far as Brexit is concerned, the initial panic is subsiding as nothing much appears to have changed for the worse yet.Panic will return if/when a recession starts on the back of reduced investment/consumer spending, and all the while Italian banks are heading for a crisis all of their own. I think there is a real sh*tstorm brewing.I see no reason to leave safe havens at present including JLF. If anything more unconventional monetary policy moves are likely to underpin the current price.

Re: why so ignored I'm a fan of JLIF. Nice yield and steady increase in capital value means it has outperformed most of my equity holdings over the last few years. The last few weeks it has really climbed though. Along with so many of the preference shares, investment grade bonds and "safe" yielding holdings I hold. I'm going to hold back buying more or reinvesting dividends in the current climate and build up my cash balance. I'm of the opinion that the value of these kinds of things are peaking and they are at risk of a pullback over the next 6-9 months. Not sure what could cause it just more of a feeling that people are rushing to buy anything that yields.

Re: Placing Price around 114.5 late on.wonder what strike price will be ?

Re: Placing Trouble is price of placing shares not set.you have to trust they will set below current price.Have you been told when new shares available to trade ?

JimGo 03 Mar 2016

Have tried to place an order via AJ Bell but the offer was withdrawn on advice of JLIF solicitors, professionals only, I guess JLIF have no regard for their shareholders!?

Re: Placing My broker is involved in the placing and has offered me the chance to participate, so existing shareholders can apply. I don't know if this is available from all brokers?

Ripley94 01 Mar 2016

Re: Placing Different sort of placing this time , it being common knowledge .book building this week, no price you have to bid.there will be a strike price.I have told them they should make an OO to existing shareholders at same price as strike. Some much smaller AIM company's manage that. They are more interested in looking after the city boys.
