Possible cash offer for John Laing Infrastructure Fund Limited ("JLIF" or the "Company") Reminds of that Bowie song “it’s a god awful thing” being an investor with a slow swing. Incremental investing isn’t something I chose, it chose me. DL

Possible cash offer for John Laing Infrastructure Fund Limited ("JLIF" or the "Company") Depends on your risk tolerance I suppose. I’ve recently topped up on VSL c10%, OCN c5% & REC c5% yields. I’m thinking of topping up NRR for August. I also topped up ALAI, not even enough to write home about. All I think are on the risky end of the spectrum. I have shifted from adding capital to recycling dividends. Another 8-9% from here and I’ll moving that income into something else. With a bit of luck I’ll start on the next leg of my portfolio management - no correction and a running yield of just over 4% and my slow get rich plan (I’ve been working on for nearly a decade) will be competed early next year, Brexit willing. Just house work and a 6 monthly tidy up from then on. My plan at the moment is adding more Premuim Bonds, creating an annual £10k portfolio 10 x £1k multi baggers that I expect to play a “pray and spray” with and build up cash and near cash reserves. Never hurts to be a man with a plan, even if the plan doesn’t work out exactly as you thought. DL

Possible cash offer for John Laing Infrastructure Fund Limited ("JLIF" or the "Company") Next problem as ever is what to invest proceeds in for a good yield. Running out of ideas.

Possible cash offer for John Laing Infrastructure Fund Limited ("JLIF" or the "Company") I sold out, it’s the smart move I think. No guarantee offer will actually be made and if it is only 5p upside.

Possible cash offer for John Laing Infrastructure Fund Limited ("JLIF" or the "Company") Bloody phone I swear the auto spell is changing stuff after I’ve hit reply. Or I seriously need my eyes tested!

Possible cash offer for John Laing Infrastructure Fund Limited ("JLIF" or the "Company") I’m about 10% cash at the moment, most of it locked away in 1 year products, that mature every 3 months. Half of our 18/19 ISA’s are in cash ready to go… I’m not risk off exactly as I style my strategy is long risk-on, so periods of volatility attract me. After the Brexit vote I made enough for a couple of years ISA commitments. It was a bit stressful at time, but I suppose as investors it’s what we do. Take on risk and adapt. I always find my unlisted positions interesting. They appear to pay no heed to market turbulence. I’m very much in sell mode with them when opportunity comes along. I’m not adding any capital, except for occasional pre-emptions. Didn’t quite mean take on the beach. I’ve never owned an LD, later models and had part share in an AF if that means anything. Vegas I’ve had several over the years. The AF was fun, but short lived. Home you for find a good union me for the cash. It’s no easy. DL

Possible cash offer for John Laing Infrastructure Fund Limited ("JLIF" or the "Company") devonplay: My 20% profit (if I had one) I’d by an LD or maybe a Vega as a project. I’ve never quite made it past driving around the lanes in my Defender, but I could see myself at the beach with an LD 150cc I am in a risk off mode so as I made a profit due to the large jump today I took it. Have most now in bonds or cash I know its hard to get back in but I would like to see the politics here and the US become a bit more stable. The LD150 I had would not have gone 50yrds on a beach before sinking.

Possible cash offer for John Laing Infrastructure Fund Limited ("JLIF" or the "Company") I suppose not such great news if you’ve held these for a few years. At least it’s a exit. Another stock potentially disappearing for income investors. I noticed a couple of people commenting on other boards they might buy Lloyds. I hold Lloyds, from memory I’m up 25%, not sure I’d be rushing to add more at this time. My 20% profit (if I had one) I’d by an LD or maybe a Vega as a project. I’ve never quite made it past driving around the lanes in my Defender, but I could see myself at the beach with an LD 150cc

devonplay 16 Jul 2018

Possible cash offer for John Laing Infrastructure Fund Limited ("JLIF" or the "Company") 16 July 2018 Possible cash offer for John Laing Infrastructure Fund Limited (“JLIF” or the “Company”) The Board of JLIF and a consortium which comprises Dalmore Capital Limited (as manager for and on behalf of certain infrastructure funds) (“Dalmore”) and Equitix Investment Management Limited (acting as manager of various funds) (“Equitix”) (together the “Consortium”) confirm they are engaged in discussions regarding a possible cash offer for the entire issued and to be issued share capital of JLIF (the “Possible Offer”), to be made by a new company to be jointly owned by funds managed or advised by Dalmore and Equitix. The Possible Offer is at a price of 142.5 pence per share in cash (the “Possible Offer Price”) and also includes the payment of a dividend of up to 3.57 pence per share to JLIF shareholders prior to closing of the transaction (the “Pre-Closing Dividend”), (together with the 142.5 pence, the “Total Consideration”). maybe there’s more life in the sector than I thought. I must check to see how HICL and 3IN are doing. I’ve got cash in both. DL

Re: drop today The EU is bringing out anti tax avoidance laws in 2019. Its what got us into this mess as most of the Tory Funders and Newspaper owners are up to their necks in offshore tax havens. [link]

Re: drop today It's due to the government report on pfi value for money mentioning certain of Jlif pfis as being poor value for money. They will be targets for renegogiation for a labour government.
