per ardua and Monty - my apologies Good afternoon per ardua and Monty, I did enjoy the b.hol wk-end, hope that you did too. You are quite correct to reprimand me for writing Monty is bitter/obsessed, just written in slight annoyance to his reply – which I shouldn’t give in to, let alone write. So my apologies to both of you. Re: eagle, he did suggest that Monty should take a break, I was just being sardonic, which again I shouldn’t…The invective and aggression on this board is tiring/boring and sometimes amusing, but does nothing to inform. I usually read Adfvn boards for info. and this is a rare share that anyone bothers to write anything within ii.I do cringe at some of the drivel I have written too! – hoping for some – any response…(not worth the effort). Gretel has the right approach, just the facts or considered opinion, I should attempt to emulate him/her but wouldn’t come close.The peaks in the charts have been lower over the past 6 months and I omitted the time referred to –(6 months) I should have given that time frame…for that to happen over 6 months concerns me, it’s a continuing pattern. All may be well in the years to come but I need to think of now too, and six months in these dizzying times in which we live is a fair chunk imho. However I did get some at 107, in blind hope that they will do well in the future or just rise a bit and sell..(joined the club). Or maybe we will get some positive news, a little overdue now imhoThank you for all your kind comments and reprimands 
, I wish you success in your endeavors too, let’s hope that Trump/N.Korea/Trade wars etc. don’t impede us too much.

Is this Apple/Dialog Semi'r. news relevant to IQE? Financial Times: Apple’s confirmation that it plans to develop its own power management chips for iPhones resulted in 15% slump in shares in chipmaker Dialog Semiconductor.I don't know if IQE supply the wafers for these...mm

Re: IQE plans set for approval What makes me nervous is the wording that is regularly used in these and other references to IQE and the compound semi conductor cluster. Such as:-'which seeks to develop''has the potential'We are supposed to be right on the inflection / ramp stage and the above words from local hacks, remarkably sensible in my opinion, seems to indicate that it is all to do. Which is probably why the share price is drifting aimlessly and the markets are unconvinced.

An important extract from it is:"The manufacturer signed an agreement with the authorities that makes up the Cardiff Capital Region in September 2017 to develop a compound semiconductor industry cluster at the site, with the CCR to contribute £37.9m from the CCR City Deal's Wider Investment Fund."In other words, the Cardiff local council is paying for the development of a very large building for IQE, which will enable a major expansion of IQE's ability to manufacture epi-wafers for compound semiconductors, with minimal financial contribution from IQE towards that at present (apart from buying the required new machines). That's pretty attractive from IQE's point of view!

Dear Gretel, I have to thank you again for all your posts, they are astoundingly informative, I can only think that you do very well with your portfolio, and I'm glad that you hold IQE, gives me encouragement for it, I bought some on the drop at 107Your post on the 'other stock' can be likened to the biggest shiniest gem in a huge box of brightly shining gems! Happy June 1st, and again thank you for all your posts. Very happy to say that I have invested in many of the stocks that you contribute to, hey who needs stocko anyway...
