Morgan Stanley advice Morgan Stanley said this company should go from equal weight to underweight and the price fell. Might pay to hang on until it goes ex div on Thursday, since lucky owners will be getting $2.621 per share special dividend

The market had probably priced in faster revenue growth than the company subsequently delivered. Don't worry though, IHG has an excellent business model which comprises a diversified asset light global revenue stream. An opportunity to top-up perhaps?(!).

Possible bid? ‘A possible bid for IHG is back on the cards and brokers have responded by nudging up target prices for the stock, but the share price reaction so far looks rather muted.We've heard that one before. Not complaining with the SP though

From AlphaValue's note out this morning on Research Tree... The weak oil market weighed on the strong US market, deceleration in RevPAR growth in its Q1-16 results, IHG posted a low 1.5% rise in RevPAR at CER (vs +5.9% in Q1-15) in part attributable to the negative impact of weak oil markets and the earlier timing of Easter (in the Americas and Europe notably) in several IHG markets. Although it really needs a turbo boost.[link] petition was stalled in parliament since 12th Aug 15; finally green lit on 12th feb 2016.The FCA don't even reply on the matter, now is your chance to have your say.If you hate seeing buys reported as sells etc!!!!!!Has already been sent to Martin Lewis, Daily Mail, Moneyweek & Watchdog.My local MP supported this petition by writing to the petitions committee to help un-stall it.There’s 650 MP’s in Westminster, So have you written to your MP? 649 to go!If this petition doesn’t reach 10,000; then imo we might as well have not bothered as it will almost certainly be filed B1N; @ 10,000 the government should respond. Help please I had 720 shares on the 6th and 600 odd on the 9th However the special dividend has not been paid to me but I have a notification telling me 0.001 p has been credited to my account which it has.has anyone any idea why this would be Thanks in advanc

The sp wouldn't have moved much due to this because they've carried out a 5 for 6 share consolidation at the same time so holders now own less shares as a result. IMO ...
