Brexit Wars 3 Eadwig: Whats’s Johnson frightened of that Charles isn’t? He’s frightened he’ll be interviewed and everyone will see that he doesn’t actually give a shit. A ‘submarine policy’ approach on this one, I heard it described as today. Yeah, but in fact Liar Johnson is on the job, sailing up the River Severn in Sabisky’s new boat: IMHO, SBK

Brexit Wars 3 Sir_Buns-Up_Knealing: even though you did not have a clue yesterday that the MAIN Brexit issue is that nothing changes with regard to the rules governing and privileges of British citizens until at least the end of the year… Amazing! ? Sorry buns, I fully understand that the status quo remains in place with the E111 card still being valid. That was in my comment… “Told by a UK citizen who has just taken out Greek residency using his E111? Apparently it’s still valid” Do you understand sarcasm?
On the other hand forking out a hundred quid a week for health care
… I’m not
Ideally I’d like to see the Greeks impose a swingeing super tax on British ex pats forcing you out and you being subjected to one of these Patel 70 point UK immigration tests which you would surely fail on English language grounds alone. Then maybe you’d have to row a boat to Syria to seek sanctuary.
… losing it a little now “old boy”

Brexit Wars 3 Uncle_Doug: Amazing how Farage manages to get his fans into BBC Question Time week after week. This bigoted woman is one of the main reasons I will be leaving the UK in the near future. Good idea. Going anywhere nice? The UK is becoming like North Korea: unaccountable leader, fawning flag waving masses, ever increasing restrictions, controlled media… IMHO, SBK

Brexit Wars 3 Pete - hi petethenovice: I dont think the BBC is that biased and as said before they are attacked from both sides You will no doubt agree then wiht the suggestion I made to my local MP. As OFCOM is the organisation responsible for the media (and is an independent body), it should be tasked with monitoring the output of the BBC and reporting quarterly on the content which would show any ACTUAL bias (either way!). This could in no way be projected as interfering with the independence of the BBC as they would continue be free to commission and broadcast anything it wants. It would, however, be actual data on which people on all sides politically can assess it’s impartiality. Also useful data at the time of the Charter renewal discussions to weigh the privilege of the license fee with the obligation for impartiality JAR

Brexit Wars 3 frog_in_a_tree: I suspect that QT is simply attempting to keep up its ratings by picking nutjobs to ask questions … or knowing how extremely bigoted an individual is, pick them to create the impression of a brexit voter. … how many millions voted brexit and that’s the best they can get … seriously haha but it was QT and obviously wouldn’t be biased at all petethenovice: Frog Point is about the PPL who select the audience and the pick the one who ask questions. It should be representative of the view of the population not biased towards Extreme loons for political OR sensational reasons…

Brexit Wars 3 fynne: Please enlighten me with ”what happens” after 31/12/20 and could I have next week’s lottery numbers Look fynne, you live in a foreign EU country, a the mercy of it, and you support Brexit even though you did not have a clue yesterday that the MAIN Brexit issue is that nothing changes with regard to the rules governing and privileges of British citizens until at least the end of the year… Amazing! Now I’ve no idea what will happen after the 31st December and Liar Johnson sure don’t. Now you may be a retired super -rich footballer for all I know as you are dumb enough so you might not care about any added costs of being an ex EU ex pat. On the other hand forking out a hundred quid a week for health care might dent your Ouzo budget? Ideally I’d like to see the Greeks impose a swingeing super tax on British ex pats forcing you out and you being subjected to one of these Patel 70 point UK immigration tests which you would surely fail on English language grounds alone. Then maybe you’d have to row a boat to Syria to seek sanctuary. IMHO, SBK

Brexit Wars 3 Owen Jones has made the same point in an article in The Guardian. I suspect that QT is simply attempting to keep up its ratings by picking nutjobs to ask questions. A competent panel should be capable of slapping them down. The woman ended up looking a proper berk. There is a democratic difficulty in that just because we don’t like some views should we censor them. Of course we have to protect those who would be seriously offended and the BBC like all media outlets has a duty to ensure that the comments they broadcast do not offend against the Equalities Act. Cheers, Frog in a tree

Brexit Wars 3 JD - good morning jackdawsson: "Dimbleby during the broadcast: ‘The BBC is under threat in a way it has never been before. The pernicious route they are using is to say the licence fee is wrong or unfair. ‘I don’t actually believe it is wrong or unfair. It is a way of damaging and undermining the BBC that is dangerous and should be resisted.’ Obviously he has no interest in (or connection with - now!) the BBC Isn’t he the guy who was 'trousering ’ over £400,000 a year from the BBC an organisation that is intent on continuing to hound non-payers through the courts - and fighting to cling on to it’s privileged broadcasting position? The ‘heavies’ will soon have a new group to intimidate and hassle (those over 75) many who are vulnerable and their radio / television is their only contact with the outside world. Some people might say the BBC is full of overpaid, left-wing, out of touch, urban intellectual elitists. I couldn’t possibly disagree! JAR PS - Is that long enough for you pete?
