Re: SIGNIFICANT UPSIDE NEWMONT DEAL! Both cases for upside and down side are valid IMO. Historically GGP have not performed well but if NEWMONT were not interested they would have walked ages ago. My only concern is that GGP will get greedy over EG and sour the deal. Saying that I have topped up in the hope it all goes well.GLA Jimmy

SIGNIFICANT UPSIDE NEWMONT DEAL! With news about to break, imhho we could easily see a x3 bagger as just a start. My glass is always half full, where as others are half empty. Choice is free, live life happy and optimistic, or sad and pessimistic.

Significant downside if Newmont walks Greatland Gold – History with nothing about “Great”After reviewing Greatland accounts and RNS for the last 11 years, the conclusion is grim, Greatland has never delivered a commercial project, the company keeps raising equity year after year. Insiders and related parties make plenty of money on option exercises and management fees.• GGP founded in 2005, listed on AIM in 2006• Share count has increased 2886% since the IPO• The company has raised £8.5m since the IPO (until Jun 2017)• £4.4m used in exploration• £4.1m used in admin and other costs• Investment has yielded no revenue since the IPO in 2006• Greatland has never managed to sell or commercialize any of their projects• Greatland farmed out Firetower and Lisle in 2011 and 2013, • Both farm-outs was canceled due to poor results• Greatland has been drilling at the Ernest project for 9 years, with little tangible progress Very difficult to justify a £70m market cap when only £4.4m has been invested in the groups project over the past 11 years and none of these projects has resulted in a commercial development. Newmont agreement for 6 months of first refusal over the Ernest project expired 16 Nov, without Newmont extending it. Not a big surprise given Greatland non-existing track-record to deliver a commercial project. The market cap was £3.5m in the beginning of 2017, if the whole agreement with Newmont fails, the value of the company will most likely drop to pre-Newmont agreement valuation plus the cash the company has on the balance sheet -> resulting in a market cap of around £9m or 0.3p (85% downside)[link]

Questions in the House Todays PMQ's saw some questions on the closure of Bowlby and the treatment of those losing their jobs. Not much else emerged.

Re: NOT LONG TO WAIT!! Afternoon all. It's been a long long time since i last posted on here. But, I'm still holding GGP.One consideration investors haven't made here is, how are Newmont going to get the gold out of the ground? This is one of the most inhospitable environments in the world.... This could take some time to consider and plan.

Re: NOT LONG TO WAIT!! I haven't posted for a few weeks, been busy doing up my house. Now trying to fathom out this unusual delay. Newmont may be at odds with GGP over a deal and it may well be they're haggling over the price to buy EG ?If it was going to be a JV, then i would have thought it could have been settled in late Nov or at least by Xmas.....so, an offer is more likely, imo

Re: Monday Still time for an RNS today, may have to wait until tomorrow but great excitement abounds.

Re: Monday I think you may be right.I had anticipated the MMS pushing the price down to circa 2.1/2.2 to mop up any stop losses then another rise but thats not really happened.Chart for me says next stop is 2.7p.Maverick

Re: Alltold... A tip for you to ponder. No worries,At worst I would put it into your watch list though.. A consideration that is hadn't considered... Is that FISH is a sitting duck at this price for someone like Angling Direct.I just feel that FISH has a very easy 100% gain to put on, and even then it will still be marked down sufficiently to punish it for its recent failings...Best.Disorder
