Griffin share price couple of the regulars are on lse; I haven’t looked this afternoon but there didn’t seem to be much concern. On ADVFN however, they’re whinging about no return of money to shareholders. The BOD made it quite clear that such wasn’t about to happen.

Griffin share price is there anyone here? big share movements and we can’t chat about it, its a shame, this site used to be useful. surprised to see this price myself, will probably top up

Still_learningafterallthistime 26 Jun 2018

Lse.gfm thanks for the hint, i’m off to LSE, hope to see you all there. Took me 10 mins to figure out how to add a new share to my portfolio. finally did it and now i’m told i can’t have more than 100 shares, so i can’t add it. existing folio clearly bigger and still working, so that is odd. but so irrelevant, i don’t care!! I dont think anyone is looking at their site updates or bothering to give them feedback any more. if you have to stay here, i guess you will until you give in, everyone else seems to have closed the door behind them. GLA. see you on the other side. SL

Lse.gfm Me Too!!! Just go round & round in circles having to keep on clicking to get anywhere. Miss so much of the info against each share. Tried to edit & deleted the wrong one(fortunately had saved previous portfolio prior to changes.

Lse.gfm CD: me too, it’s an impenetrable maze! I miss reading what you and millwallfan and Philip Reid et al have to contribute. Where have they all gone - perhaps we could regroup - any ideas?

garby 24 Jun 2018

Lse.gfm Agree CD its not the best the old site was simpler and superior, a few regulars have moved to the LSE site if it doesnt improve here I’ll be joining them.

Bigrog 24 Jun 2018

Lse.gfm Big Rog I am also at a loss. I have not logged on for 8 days and now it keeps asking me to log in again and again and again. Why bother. I guess it’s because I really appreciate your posts Long with others.

Lse.gfm Hi posters I am at a losss with this new site CD

A few GFM related notes out in June South 32 acquires the remaining 83% of Arizona mining and its Hermosa zinc/silver project for $1.3bn, a cash offer 50% premium to the current sp. (resource still in development stage) Orion mine finance acquires remaining 80% of Dalradian Resources for £249mn a 60% premium to the sp. (resource still in development stage) Rio Tinto have signed a joint venture deal with China’s Minmetals to look for mineral deposits firstly in China and then the rest of the world. M&A activity in the sector is heating up. GFM market cap is about £290mn fully diluted at the current sp, Simply Wall St have a instrinsic value of 328p/ share M/C of £623mn based on forward cash flow and we’re rated 100 by Stockopedia. Does this include any potential increase in ore processed either from zone 2,5,8 etc. or from extra tonnes hauled from the newly purchased 20T truck fleet ? What would be an acceptable cash offer for GFM ? There is plenty of cash for dividend this time (despite capex for zone 2) and surely the AGM next week would be an appropriate time for the Board to express their intentions, if not we’ll have to wait 6 weeks for the interims. GLA DYOR.

Griffin Chinese star on the wane. or marketmakers winding up for a big swing? After the last week, i’m more inclined to think the former. Chin up, we’ve been in the breach before.

Griffin Quite a drop today?

I wouldn't normally do this, but Thanks GS, it interests me, like you I think this is one of the best boards and I will miss it as ii will drive us away, or make it impossible to find comments/messages. I’m sure there are either good ideas on this board and I always mean to ask if anyone knows of their new griffin. Its been a long ride, about 12 years for me, looking good for a while to come now. as long as the board stick to their day job… GLA. SL

I wouldn't normally do this, but I guess by definition any long-term holder here has made a very nice return. Whether you bought for 2p, 20p of £1 you’ve still done pretty well. It’s been one of my best investments as my average is something like 46p. I wish I had more! There’s still upside potential of course and I think £2 is in reach either after the H1 results or at full year depending on just how good the results are. The positive (and correct) comments of others on this board prompted me to invest more when it would have been easy to sit on my initial purchases made in the high 20s. Whilst I would never normally do this, in a gesture of thanks perhaps, I would draw other’s attention to another mining operation I am currently invested in, Savannah Resources (LSE: SAV). Be careful not to confuse this with Savannah Petroleum though (SAVP)! Now, pay attention! I AM NOT A MINING EXPERT OR AN EXPERT INVESTOR. I am also talking from a privileged position of having bought in at about half the current price. But if you read up about this, watch the CEO’s presentations on their website and check out the share chat over on ADVFN then you’ll see what I mean. SAV has three major mining EXPLORATION projects; Copper in Oman where they should get a mining license any day now, a huge lithium project in Portugal where the resource keeps being upgraded, and a heavy sands/titanium project in Mozambique in partnership with Rio Tinto no less. SAV’s market cap is under £100m and it seems that any one of these three projects could be worth many times that by themselves. Watch out for dilution of course as funds are needed to go into production. But, much like GFM which is why it appeals to me, SAV’s management seem to be top notch and have a lot of skin in the game. I’m not recommending, I am not ramping, I openly declare I have a position that is already in a comfortable profit. But over the years of being on this board I have appreciated the wise comments of others than have allowed me to do well out of GFM. So I am throwing this out there in case, if it suits you after you’ve done your research, perhaps SAV could be another GFM! Please do you own research and don’t rely on me. Guitarsolo

Discussion Board Try ADVFN. At least you can create a portfolio there that gives you buy/sell values so your entire position doesn’t show as 100% loss as it does on this rubbish site.

Discussion Board ditto
