Re: More news And comment from AllenbyGfinity (GFIN.L, 23.75p/£51.3m)Strengthened partnership with Microsoft (15.12.17); Fnatic joins Elite (18.12.17)· Gfinity has been appointed as a preferred event partner to Microsoft for the forthcoming 'Halo World Championship 2018'. This follows Gfinity's successful hosting of Halo Championship Series tournament in Autumn 2017 and other Microsoft titles (Forza Racing Championship and Gears of War).· HWC18 will include four weekly tournaments, starting late January, that will be broadcast live from the Gfinity Esports Arena. The season will include a three-day EU Open LAN event with a prize pool of $25k.· Separately, Gfinity announced that Fnatic, one of the leading franchises in global eSports with total winnings >$8m, is to join the Elite Series as the part of the expansion of the series from eight to 10 teams from season three that takes place from March with a >£250k prize pool.Allenby Capital comment: Gfinity has proven to games publishers, such as Microsoft, that it is able to organise, host and broadcast successful eSports events both at the Gfinity Arena and beyond. This represents an important revenue stream as the Elite Series moves forwards in its own commercialisation. eSports represents an important area of investment for publishers as events can help drive unit sales and publishers still represent the largest source of revenue for the sector. At the same time, there is a realisation that specialists, such as Gfinity, are best placed to run such events. The inclusion of Fnatic, that enjoys a considerable following, represents a major endorsement of the innovative tournament.Allenby Capital acts as Nomad and Broker to Gfinity plc

Annual report ... Arrived last week .... the company is doing wonderfully well. Cash £4.5m, losses last year £5.2m. Revenue £2.4m (up 64%, previous year was up 158%), cost of sales £2.8m ... senior appointments ... blah blah. Financial Outlook: No suggestion of profit anytime soon.I'm a long-term holder but I do wonder when the jam is going to arrive. The only thing which gives me hope is that the directors' pay does not seem excessive. But I am probably misreading the figures. CEO Neville Upton owns 7.8% of the companyAll IMHO, DYOR (and tell us what you find out)

More news No shortage of it just now.... Dissemination of a Regulatory Announcement that contains inside information according to REGULATION (EU) No 596/2014 (MAR) Gfinity plc(“Gfinity” or the “Company” World-renowned esports franchise to compete for the first time in Elite Series Team Fnatic is first new franchise to be announced for third season of the esports tournament taking place in March 2018 with a prize pool in excess of £250,000 Gfinity plc (AIM: GFIN), a leading international esports entertainment group, announces that world-renowned esports franchise, Fnatic, will join the highly popular Gfinity Elite Series season three, which is due to commence in March 2018. Fnatic is a professional esports organisation headquartered in London, United Kingdom, and has established itself as one of the leading franchises in global esports with teams competing in over 20 global competitions each year. Founded on 23 July 2004, the team has players from around the world, across a variety of games, such as FIFA, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends and Dota 2. Earlier in 2017, Fnatic signed an exclusive partnership with Italian football club, AS Roma. Fnatic, which has been a huge part of the esports revolution with its teams winning more than $8 million in prize money, is the first new team to be announced as part of Gfinity’s Elite Series expansion which sees the number of teams increase from eight to ten. Gfinity recently added EA SPORTS FIFA 18 to the line-up of titles, joining Rocket League and Street Fighter V, and teams will compete for a prize pool in excess of £250,000. Prior to Fnatic’s opening FIFA 18 match, amateur players from around the world are invited to sign up for free to compete in the Challenger Series to earn a place in the Elite Draft. After six weeks of online competition, the top 40 players will enter the draft in the hope of being selected by one of the 10 teams with each drafting two players to become part of their active roster. The teams will compete in a six-week regular season in a bid to make the play-offs which will be played over a two-week period from the Gfinity Esports Arena in London. Neville Upton, Chief Executive of Gfinity, said: “Having established the Elite Series as one of the leading esports tournaments in the world, we couldn’t be more excited by expanding and bringing in a team of Fnatic’s calibre. “With their inclusion, an already competitive roster and more announcements to come, this will be our most action-packed season to date.” Patrik Sattermon, CGO and Co-Owner, Fnatic, said: “We have followed the Elite Series closely for some time and have been thoroughly impressed, in terms of the tournament but also in both the professionalism and vision of Gfinity’s team. The new opportunities for our existing FIFA and Rocket League rosters are very exciting and a return to the fighting game scene with Street Fighter V is something we very much look forward to.”

Allenby Capital Latest Reads:Gfinity plc (GFIN.L, 24.2p/£52.9m)Elite Series embraces FIFA 18; positive metrics from inaugural F1 (06.12.17)· Elite Series will become the first eSports competition to include EA Sports FIFA 18 in its schedule when season three starts in March. Elite Series will become an accredited official FIFA 18 qualifier, a precursor to the FIFA eWorld Cup 2018, the official World Cup for FIFA 18 taking place in August 2018.· FIFA players will be able to participate in the next Gfinity Challenger Season that starts in January. The top 40 ranked players at the end of the six week season will become eligible for the Elite Draft and have the opportunity to be selected by one of the professional franchises.· Separately, Formula 1 provided some data points from the recently completed inaugural Formula 1 Esports Series, where Gfinity acted as delivery partner. The final event in Abu Dhabi saw a total of 1.8m video views on Facebook (+72% on the semi final), there were 54,000 view on the Twitch streaming service (peaking at >8k), Instagram had 6.1m impressions and 310k engagements and video views were >1.6m, and Twitter had more than 7.8m impressions across the event.· The finals video on YouTube has gained more video views than the NBA 2K17 all-star championship and the NFL Madden 17 Championship Final. The semifinals' audience was a viewership record for any live eSports event broadcast on linear TV in the UK. The Finals has been broadcast in 123 countries.Allenby Capital comment: EA Sports FIFA is one of the popular video game series with >150m copies sold to date and >200m matches taking place each week. The game lends itself to broadcast and its inclusion will broaden the appeal of the Elite Series. The appointment also reflects Gfinity's standing as a delivery partner for publishers. Gfinity's ability to host successful events and the substantial following for eSports can be seen in the impressive audience figures from the inaugural Formula 1 Esports Series. Traditional sports need to reach and engage with the younger audience that enjoys eSports. This series was notable for only starting part way through the F1 season and there was no involvement from the F1 teams. As such, there is the opportunity to significantly increase the scale and scope in future seasons.

Re: About turn Heinro - price is hovering around 200day MA. 64% growth quoted in results today but no large reaction yet, perhaps that's under market expectation or hasn't filtered through. Have a look at Modern Times Group (Sweden) - they're investing in e-sports.

About turn Not sure what drove this down to an SP of 21 but may well have turned the corner and be on it's way back to at least the recent placing of 28p - interested to heat what the chartists have to say?

ULTIMATE COUCH POTATOE SPORTS Still having problems getting to grips with concept of the eSports thing - that said the news flow over the past few months here has been impressive - and yesterday's news possibly tops the lot:"Gfinity (GFIN) was appointed as an e-sports partner for Formula 1 to deliver the Formula 1 E-Sports series in September, helping the stock gain 5.2% to 22.1p."I suppose if the likes of Hamilton use simulators and reap real benefit from it then why can a competition based around that capability not be made to work? Who knows Hamilton vs the the eSports Formula 1 champion in a simulator based race could be a huge draw? Certainly better than Phelps vs a great white....Does anyone have a clear view on how this is all monetised?

Olympic showcase? Being a touch on the older side I find it quite hard to get eSports, but have taken a small stage in GFIN. Interesting to see that there is serious consideration being given to them featuring in Paris in 2024.[link]

Re: Onedb1 Keeping an eye on this one Hi OnedbTook the opportunity to buy some more today at 20.875 pence seeing it was 2 pence cheaper than the last purchase. Looking to add more and build up a good long-term holding over time. Interestingly, Sharecentre reported my trade along with that of another at the same price as "UNKNOWN." Two other trades of 30,000 and 50,000 shares, both at 20.88p were listed as "SELL" Might well have been BUYS like mine! I have been long on GVC (internet gaming) since 2006 and have been amazed at the earnings potential of on-line companies. Things like this can develop a following and become addictive so hopefully this will also do well in the long term Looking forward to seeing your analysis when you have time to post. All the best47TC
