Forthcoming Results On 22nd September 2014 Gem fields announced the results for the financial year to 30th June 2013-14. These showed that a revenue (turnover) of £94.00M they made a profit £21.39M. The Share Price closed on that date was 51.50pOn 9th March 2015 Gemfields announced the interim results for the period 30th June 2014 to 31st December 2015. These showed that a revenue (turnover) for the six months of £66.40M they made a profit £27.92M. So Gemfields made £6.53M more profit in the first six months than the previous twelve months. This barely moved the share price it was though the market did not believe the interim figures. Although the increase in activity was substantiated by the Market Updates. In the six months in the second half of the year there have been three auctions which generated sales of £38.4M. Auctions only represent part of the total revenue of the CompanyThe two Market Updates for the third quarter and fourth quarter generally show increased production levels on the previous quarters and the corresponding periods in the previous years. So taking all these factors in account I am estimating that in September 2015 the results will show revenue of £120.0M (up 24%) and profit of £50.0M (up 134%). Gemfields is selling at a PE of 53.7 and is capitalised at £353.6M. If the profit does go up to £50M the PE will come down to a lowly 20 which is ridiculous for a company with profits increasing at such a rateWhen results are analysed I believe the share price will go up over £1 by Christmas. Re: Montepuez Ruby Mine Resource Statement I posted yesterday saying that an 8 page highly technical report on the Montepuez Ruby Mine had been issued. Proactive Investors have written a very good summary."Gemfields’ (LON:GEM) Montepuez ruby mine in Mozambique has enough reserves for more than twenty years of mining, according to its first independent assessment.Maiden estimates by consultant SRK were that the mine had a JORC-compliant indicated and inferred mineral resource of 467mln carats of ruby and corundum at an in-situ grade of 62.3 carats per tonne (ct/t).Probable reserves, which carry a higher degree of certainty, are 432mln carats of ruby and corundum at diluted ore grade of 15.7 ct/t.That is enough for 21 years of mining, according to an independent technical report.Gemfields has been trial mining at Montepuez for some months, but the technical report sees a major step up in scale over the next two years.Production would rise to 5.6mln tonnes annually by July 2017 (from 3.3mln) with processing capacity to rise to 1.3mln tonnes per annum by July of next year.Costs to bring Montepuez fully on line would be US$65mln in the first two years and US$305mln over its whole life, but that would generate a value of nearly US$1bn and cash of more than US$2.7bn.Ian Harebottle, chief executive, said this first recorded mineral resource and ore reserve statement was a milestone event and provides further evidence to the continued growth, positive momentum and opportunity inherent within the coloured gemstone sector. Broker Investec said the numbers were very impressive, adding it had never seen an internal rate of return on a mining project as high as 312%.“We also believe that the tenement package held by Gemfields has considerable upside potential from here” and how marketing might help to lift ruby price over the longer term."Next month sees the 1st Auction this financial year of emeralds from the Kegem mine in Zambia and the Market report for the last quarter April to June and in September the full results for the current financial year will be released. These all should boost the SP, to over £1 by Christmas.

Auction Results The results of last weeks auction have been announced. They are slightly disappointing with only 61% of the lots and 66% by weight sold."The auction generated total revenues of USD 29.3 million at an average realised price of USD 617 per carat. The auction results, which saw 28 of the 46 lots offered being sold, indicate there are further opportunities to educate the market on the Company’s products in order for the market to fully appreciate the rarity and value of all of the gems from Montepuez".It does not say how much the large pair were sold for. But it augers well for good results to the end of the FY 30th June 2015Goldminer70.

The auction was held in Singapore from 16 to 21 June 2015.Highlights -- Auction revenues of USD 29.3 million; -- Average realised price of USD 617 per carat; -- 47,451 carats sold (66% by weight or 87% by market value) out of the total of 72,208 carats offered; and-- The four Montepuez auctions held since June 2014 have generated USD 122.2 million in aggregate revenues.Montepuez Ruby AuctionGemfields' fourth auction of rough rubies from Montepuez saw 46 companies placing bids. The auction was only the second comprised predominantly of rubies of higher quality and all 46 lots offered at the auction were offered on an untreated basis. The auction generated total revenues of USD 29.3 million at an average realised price of USD 617 per carat. The auction results, which saw 28 of the 46 lots offered being sold, indicate there are further opportunities to educate the market on the Company's products in order for the market to fully appreciate the rarity and value of all of the gems from Montepuez. The comparability of the progress to date at Montepuez with that achieved at Kagem, the Company's producing emerald mine in Zambia, bodes well for the future price development.
