Re: Phulbari - RNS- Next Stage Ha ha, got to love your second thoughts, Phulbari!!In my opinion they are just trying to put more pressure on the government. But as long as theres Hasina..., she will resist open mining at all cost and focus on her other problems to solve.---------- ----"...talk of a power station and who will fund it is meaningless without a coal mine to supply it. That has, first and foremost, to be approved by the GoB. Over to you Hasina."

Re: Phulbari - RNS- Next Stage Nicely soaked back in here as from 29p by AT trading and holding. Now if the early March spike will be surpassed, then substantial upleg ahead.Right now he Sp still risks to bounce off at the 35p wall. But lets give it a try!

Re: Phulbari - RNS- Next Stage Phulbari is just like Baxtea only saying done deal when it is. My opinion is -IT IS !!

Phulbari - RNS- Next Stage You get the picture now Phulbari...... So this is where tang has been working it to ..... basically. ..... GCM now has the influence to finance and build the much sought after power station that the GOB cannot get funding for..... In exchange for a commitment for them to mine the coal. No other GCM management team has ever achieved anything like this progress in respect of formulating a way to win over the GoB. It is strategically a strong move...oh and don’t forget this also compliments the work being done locally from the GCM office in PhulbariAnother significant move forward!!!!!

The GL is surely a done deal No way this is not now going ahead in my opinion. The cautious will lose out and the doomsday merchants are just plain wrong!!Don’t need luck. Just hold on as long as you all can. See you at the 1000p party!! Not at searchers gaff lol.

No ones looking oÂ’clock GCM Resources plc ("GCM" or the "Company", a London based resource exploration and development company, is pleased to announce that the Company has agreed a Contract Framework Agreement with its strategic partner China Gezhouba Group International Engineering Co. Ltd ("CGGC". The Contract Framework Agreement awards CGGC the exclusive right for the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of a proposed 2,000MW mine-mouth thermal power plant at GCM's proposed coal mine in North-West Bangladesh for an agreed initial estimated cost of US$3.8bn which shall be subject to further adjustments when the parties finalise a full engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning ("EPC" contract. This agreement follows on from the Joint Development Framework Agreement announced on 9 March this year which outlined the roles and responsibilities of both companies in pursing approval of the Phulbari Coal and Power Project. CGGC is the main international business company of both China Gezhouba Group Corporation and China Energy Engineering Co. Ltd ("Energy China". Energy China is a super central state-owned enterprise, and in 2017 ranked 312th in the Fortune Global 500. In the last three years, Energy China engaged in the design and construction of power plants with a total installed capacity of nearly 220GW, ranked first in the world. Datuk Michael Tang PJN, Executive Chairman stated "We are delighted to finalise this EPC framework agreement with CGGC, which is to build the proposed 2,000MW mine-mouth thermal power plant provided that consent is obtained from the Government of Bangladesh and upon a definitive EPC agreement being negotiated. We look forward to working together with CGGC to move the Company's Project forward. The Project can support up to 6,000MW at the mine-mouth and/or at other strategic sites within Bangladesh."

Re: Next Stage Ah Yes! I never thought of that!

Re: Next Stage Phulbari isn’t in the loop with the Chinese lol so he knows nowt. Of course in Phulbari’s fictitious “I know what is happening in the inner circles of the Bangladeshi government” world he obviously knows everything. lol. All he knows is 10 years out of date.

searcher3 21 Mar 2018

Re: Next Stage Phulbari, your missing the point, ... the Chinese will and have got a massive influence within the GoB, this is obviously very important, because it will be them who help to influence the right people and to help give this project the final push that it needs... imo of course

Phulbari 20 Mar 2018

Next Stage Posters are getting in a froth on a sister board about the Chinese involvement, but they are missing a key ingredient - talk of a power station and who will fund it is meaningless without a coal mine to supply it. That has, first and foremost, to be approved by the GoB. Over to you Hasina.

Phulbari 19 Mar 2018

Re: Looks like Typical of Bangladesh. This would-be new deepwater port was inaugurated by Hasina in 2013! Apart from the still unfinished onshore infrastructure, has anyone recently reported on progress in dredging the 36-mile approach channel to achieve the 11-metre draught they require? I think a Belgian contractor was appointed last year, but I wonder how far they have got, and indeed if they have even started?

GPback 19 Mar 2018

Re: Looks like Now that really is interesting “modern” news not stuck in the past lol. Wonder what pressures are being applied behind closed doors searcher. The kind of closed doors that no-one outside the room can hear through. The kind of conversation that results in the GL discussion with benefits through business dealings from And to China.

Looks like Coal imports are going to be delayed Payra port project cost may triple[link]
