Coca-Cola / Cadbury Schweppes takeover? I'm hearing murmurings that the big boys are now sitting up and taking serious notice of Fevertree and a takeover could be on the cards this year.Schweppes aren't enjoying the fact that people are positively disgusted at being offered their aspartame-laced tonic with gin, and are losing serious ground in bars and restaurants.Coca Cola are looking at reducing reliance on sugar laden soda pops and a quality brand name like Fevertree is small change for them to purchase at this stage before they grow too much.Pepsi will of course try to steal the march on their rival, everything could happen quite quickly. You heard it here first......

Re: Re: I will be honest, I had to google the other tonics you have mentioned. Never seen of herd any of them apart from Waitress own and can't imagine they could have much of an impact on growth due to limited exposure. Fevertree has become a culture in the way premium gins. when you ask for a gin in a bar, they ask would you like regular tonic or fevertree.I also think its very telling that none of the board are selling shares at the recent highs, surely this time of year would of been a good opportunity to cash in and use paying tax bills as an excuse for having to sell shares?i only have a small holding but added some more at £11.50

Re: Re: Not sure I think the expansion of the Gin market which is veracious at the moment is driving the growth but is bringing new kids onto the block for posh tonic,so growth is masking the competition in the high end tonic market BTW, 1724, Fentimens, Waitress own? Fevertree is still the clear and current leader (also used to be one of my favourite Psychedelic rock acts when I was a little younger).

Re: So many premium gins all over the world and Fevertree is the only premium tonic, Anyone drinking a premium gin will want a premium mixer. The growth potential is massive.

Re: £13 I agree. Very frothy. If you are in profit, take it.

Re: £13 if it rises another couple of % the market cap will be bigger than Britvic!!...A genuine "well done" to those who spotted the opportunity here early on buy I'm of the opinion it is way overvalued at these levels and people are assuming theres a greater fool out there who will come and take this out.I think the valuation is crackers but thats just opinion..Tops

£13 Is this speculation on a takeover bid - £13. Cant see the value. I have a small holding after selling down due to my fear it was overpriced. But the only way is up at the moment.Tha
