Re: Cantor Fitzgerald 22nd April 2015 Interesting view on kitbag. The two UK companies who are/were the most likely to buy this business, just wont pay the money, imo.Ash and Jds have the same view that they look for things on the cheap. there is no UK company buying in this sector who are prepared to pay top dollar, imoMaybe some will come out the woodwork and agree a deal.

Cantor Fitzgerald 22nd April 2015 LONDON (Alliance News) - There is a strong likelihood that home shopping and education supplies company Findel will be left with only one business over the next year, Cantor Fitzgerald says, leaving it vulnerable to potential suitors and likely leading to a significant re-rating of the stock.Cantor analyst Freddie George says that after the disposal of its Kleeneze networking marketing business, the proposed sale of its Kitbag online sports equipment store is behind schedule, but it thinks there is active outside interest in the division and that a sale will be completed in the second quarter. That would leave the company under pressure from shareholders to dispose of its education business, which would then leave it with just its core Express Gifts personal shopping unit.A change in structure like this would highlight the significant undervaluation of the business, particularly within a low interest rate environment, George says. Findel has traded in a 200-250 pence range in the past year and looks cheap at 8.7 times 2015 earnings and 7.5 times 2016 earnings.George also sees it as undervalued on a sum-of-the-parts view, based on its forecasts that Express Gifts is worth more than 350 pence per share, assuming it is valued at a similar rating to peer N Brown. Express Gifts, however, has a stronger record over the past five years, meaning a sum-of-the-parts view would value Findel at up to 400 pence.Cantor retains a Buy rating and 335 pence price target on the stock.

Re: Oh to the board of Findel - verse 3 Well Fish, in my opinion paying a dividend would open the door to a whole new different type of investor.Currently we have the main large funds who between them own 81.53% of the total number of shares currently issued. The remaining 18.47% is made up of people like you and me, long term small investors and the rest is held by market makers and short termers. Witness the fact recently when on the 6th February the company announced the sale of Kleeneze. In the following weeks several million shares were traded by people taking advantage of the uplift in value because of this good news. Those people were only short term traders who dumped as soon as they read the post close period trading statement resulting in a 10% drop in value. What we don't have at the moment is the small dividend payment investor, I'm talking about older people who invest in companies for the dividend income and who are not so interested in the day to day movement of the share price. They are more interested in the biannual dividend income. People like this tend to invest their monies where they can rely on that company to consistently trade profitably and regularly increase dividend payments. There are also funds that do not buy shares in companies that don't offer dividend payments. In conclusion, there is a very large sector of the investing market that currently would not consider buying Findel because it has no recent history of dividend payments. It would be very interesting to see what effect a resumption of dividend payments announcement would have on the movement of the share price. My guess is it would be very positive and sustained.DDP
