Liberum view out this morning ahead of trading update later this week: "Seminar demonstrates high level relationships and deep technical knowledge. We expect a solid trading update on 30th June with no impact from Construction slow-down. We believe monetary finance is gaining traction medium term. There is a significant program of investment in Rail. We expect more partnering in Water. There should be a decision on Heathrow over the Summer." pulled from Research Tree

Re: someone selling... Looks like it was Al Kharafi again - now below 3% from being one of the 2 major shareholders. Now only UEM Group left, with 13.5%. Wonder who bought them at the bargain price?

Re: someone selling... I presume with that large a shift in price the company will have to issue a statement? Someone appears to have lost a lot of money selling hundreds of thousands of shares at what is 20p below market OR they know something is coming?

H1 results encouraging More contracts won with increased order book, Divi up, pension deficit down and cash balance wont be dented too much by the recent acquisition of Rhead.Trend towards longer term ''target cost - cost reimbursible'' contracts. These have an opportunity for later profits but with bigger initial outlay.Infrastructure (rail, roads & power) looks to be doing better than natural resources (water, North Sea oil & Nuclear). Short video on the website gives the highlights and the presentation slides are also there.Costain have a good reputation (it would appear) with rail and other things involving tunnels. Its about time the SP went up but such a large upspike is typically followed by some tailing off. The large middle east shareholders may try to offload some of their shares whilst the price is up.The dividend is up by even more if the dilution from the rights issue (1 for 3 at 225 if I remember correctly) is allowed for - I think.Good luck to all holders SG
