Re: Trading update Assuming they are confident of the visibility of revenues then I suspect we will see a special dividend again - the cash pile must be growing very well.

Trading update Very good. Brief, understated - but good news.

Re: Trading update The Company Secretary's reply to me, then was wrong. Maybe they had not quite finished bean counting at that stage, and indications were revenue was going to be within the range of expectations, but now they've got further, things look a little better so they had to release the up date. As you say, good news. So if the EPS is around 90 there is still a lot of growth built into the share price - probably quite rightly, but maybe there is an expectation of a better dividend hike too, though it will still only be a yield of around 2.5%.

Next Update Last year they issued a trading update on 22nd August. I wrote to the company secretary to ask if we could expect a similar one this year. He replied promptly (always a good sign) to say last year they had to issue one because the results were going to be considerably better than forecast. This year they are likely to be in line with forecasts, so no trading statement will be issued. The Finals will be in October. Current forecast (from Digital Look) Turnover £6.3m Pre-tax profits £4.9mEPS 78.7Dividend 51pSo at current prices that puts us on a PE of 27.3 & a yield of 2.4%: not cheap, but for the speed of growth, not overly expensive.

Re: Add BVXP to my future tech portfolio Daz,Welcome on board."This is a business built on real products "Much much better than that. Louis B Meyer (who built MGM into the largest film studio in the world in the 30s was a successful business man before he went into films. He could not believe his luck. Here was an industry where you make a product once and can sell it time and time again. Brilliant. Bioventix is just as good. You sell a product then earn further money every time it is used. Can you imagine selling a TV then earning more money every time it is switched on? This is a business where every employee could go home on full pay, and the company would still make a profit. (We might need a book keeper to keep tabs on things.) I'm not sure if any client ever challenged the in perpetuity clause that it would stand up; but as long as they are reliant on BVXP for existing and future products, and for collaborative research, they will happily carry on paying because it's such a small cost in the overall scheme to them. I wish I had bought more when I first discovered them.I've met the CEO & he fills you with confidence.

Add BVXP to my future tech portfolio Just invested. Been awaiting a dip to buy into but despite that thought have bought in today as no dip in sight! I like the product, cash pile, profits and dividend. This is a business built on real products that sell at a profit and is not reliant on future funding. I should have invested ages ago but am on board now and will look to double up if the SP and company value continues to rise into the late summer.

Re: Interims Just to add to my post, Bioventix's figures in recent years have not been skewed by exceptional items. If one looks at the fundamentals page & the bar charts for sales, profit, EPS, dividend etc. one sees a steady smooth progression. Now putting today's interim figures into perspective. These interims are comparable to the full year results for 2014. Turnover is comparable, this interim dividend is bigger than 2014's final dividend, Net assets are up over 50%, net cash is up 33%; and the most important figures - the profit is larger. So in 2.5 years, the business's value is around doubled. That's equivalent to a compound interest of around 32% p.a.

Hardboy 27 Mar 2017

Re: Interims And they look excellent.Sales up 32%. Profits up 49%. Net Cash pile growing. Dividend up 21%. This really is a remarkable business.

Re: Interims You are correct - just had confirmation from finnCap to that effect

Re: Interims Monday the 27th I have heard.

Re: Interims I have to agree with you. Why not email Peter Harrison the CEO there and give him the view? He's a very decent man who takes the PI interest in BVXP seriously.

Hardboy 21 Mar 2017

Re: Interims I guess that's just based on last year.I do think it's a poor show. My feeling is every company listed on the LSE should have a web site which contains a Financial Diary, and full year & interim results + dividend dates should be publicised at least 2 weeks ahead of the event. That's not a very arduous requirement, and most companies do it anyway.

charlie51 21 Mar 2017

Re: Interims According to my diary (which has no basis in authority) it is scheduled for today. Not much evidence of it though so far
