Re: Major Shareholders - Drop They had 117 million to sell since Oct 2013.. hope they've offloaded the lot now..[link]

Re: Major Shareholders - Drop 101m of 823m shares in circulation already traded today, so think we can say it has been placed!

PokerGypsy 12 Jun 2015

Re: Major Shareholders - Drop That was my initial thoughts.. cant be good news... but then I thought perhaps they are doing this (and shutting WPT online) to clear the decks for a smoother takeover. Call me an eternal optimist - I bought some more on the drop

Major Shareholders - Drop Share placing - (would they do it if they felt positive...mmnnnnn!!!!The Board of bwin.party has become aware that the independent trustees of both Emerald Bay Limited ('Emerald') and Stinson Ridge Limited ('Stinson'), two of the Group's shareholders (together 'the Trustees'), have chosen to place up to 50 million shares in bwin.party. Whilst the Board was not party to the placing arrangements, they are consistent with the Trustees' obligations to sell down their holdings before the end of October 2015 under the terms of the divestiture arrangements that were entered into by both Emerald and Stinson and which were disclosed in a press announcement issued by the Company on 31 October 2013. Philip Yea, Chairman of bwin.party said:"We welcome today's news regarding the placing by the Trustees as it provides clarity for the market regarding a significant block of shares that were due to be sold during 2015. The sale has no bearing on the Board's discussions regarding proposals received from third parties that are continuing and whilst there can be no guarantee that these discussions will result in any transaction taking place, the Board will make further announcements in due course."

Great Things Expected on the Horizon! It’s going to be a huge year for the WPT.Under the tutelage of Pliska, and thanks to their multi-million dollar sponsorship deals, the WPT are finally operating in the black. At the beginning of the year Pliska told me during an interview for CalvinAyre.com that they were enjoying the ‘best financial year the WPT has ever had.’The turnaround from red to black could not have come at a more crucial time. The WPT was sold to Partygaming in 2009 for $12 million, and today those prime assets belong to Bwin.Party Digital Entertainment, who are currently in the midst of acquisition talks with the likes of 888 Holdings, GVC Holdings and Amaya Gaming Inc.<B>A deal with be done. The only questions that remain are who will own bwin.party, and what will that mean to the WPT?Only last week, WPTPoker.com, closed down amid rumors that the company was preparing itself for acquisition.<B>[link]

Gobsmacked! PokerStars entered a new stage in its evolution earlier today when it launched a fully fledged sports betting platform for UK customers.Since Amaya Gaming took control of PokerStars, the online poker site has undergone a number of changes, including the incorporation of casino games, including blackjack, roulette and baccarat. Along with these additions, the CEO of Amaya Gaming, David Baazov, has continually pledged to bring sports betting into the mix; however, until today, a deadline for the launch had never been announced.[link]

Re: Offers = ? Rate will be based on rate at date of agreement. Assuming similar to now, ie approx £1=€1.40, €1.5bn would equate to €1,82 = £1.30 per share. Had the sale gone through a couple of years ago when £1=€1.10, we would have got £1.65 share. So typically good timing by the 'Management'.....

Re: Offers = ? Will it be based on euro v pound rate at date agreed and do we want euro to strengthen or weaken, or not matter?

bankmuppet 22 May 2015

Offers = ? If we take the £1.5b euro as correct, are we looking at circa £1.25 a share give or take?

Re: New twist in takeover deal Been quite well trailed on Google this one Rolex and thanks for flagging up to group. My feeling is that the proposals are quite complex and got that impression from call yesterday. So it could be that a lot of hard negotiating will be taking place. The more complex, the more I think it will not happen. How attractive is two third in shares of GVC for holders, some might not fancy it but it will be the big holders that will decide not you or me.Amazed how quiet the discussion board is on 888, given what is going on.

New twist in takeover deal Online gaming firm Bwin.Party close to takeoverIf successful, the GVC and Amaya bid would involve a new entity being created, which would then conduct a two year turnaround operation within Bwin before spinning off assets. The 888 Group deal would be a reverse takeover.Note Charlotte Henry says the possible 888 deal would be a reverse take-over, thus far it was the GVC approach to the deal![link]

Gotnorolex 21 May 2015

888 is the likely bid winner! Not to late to get on board.[link]

AGM Conf Call As you would expect it was a no comment on offers and no other news than has already been posted today on KPIs etc. KPIs give me a slight hope that bottom reached and only way is up and hope the Board do not offload for unrealistic price and have a bit of backbone when needed. Get the impression from Norbert's tone that he has had enough and note that he had most people vote against his re-election.
