Pour Qoi? Not holder but good luck to LTHs. Good job the AIM market is not crooked.

Re: New presentation out Cheers redrock! Always very interested to read your opinions.Oh, and are you suggesting that the Humpback "non-commercial discovery" was even worse than just "strong shows"? What a horrific well that was....

Re: New presentation out rpoodle.. Thank you for the link.. I must have missed it..Quite a bit to understand. Will respond later. Re sarcasm .. mostly true! As a small investor, I am tired of being fed by half-truths or blatant omissions by the RNSs.. take Noble's press release on Humpback: non-commercial Crude oil and Gas discovery! Apparently, some people would struggle to call it ‘strong H/C shows'! Will another well be drilled on Noble's acreage? or will Noble walk away, just like BHP..

Falklands would claim 9% oil royalty per barrel Falklands would claim 9% oil royalty per barrel plus 26% profit corporation taxThe Falkland Islands government would claim 9% royalty on one barrel of oil, plus 26% corporation tax on profit, confirmed Member of Legislative Assembly Roger Edwards this week. This week however Borders and Southern whose licensed field is south of the Falklands (where waters are shallower in some areas) announced they foresaw a breakeven oil price for development of US$ 40 per barrel. They said: “This is due to a combination of attractive fiscal terms set by the Falkland Islands government, a high quality reservoir which does not require a large number of development wells, and a relatively straightforward development plan using proven technology.” (Penguin News) [link] dif

Re: New presentation out Interesting reading - even though I had to read it a few times to cut through the sarcasm ;0). Cheers redrock. Just a quick comment/question: aren't Sullivan, Covington etc primarily structural traps, so a much higher CoS than Humpback, Toroa and so forth? I still consider that the Darwin near-field prospects (slide 7 in the below presentation) to be an attractive cluster of targets. But I could be mistaken of course....[link]

Re: New presentation out Mike JE, very tough questions! From my extensive knowledge of the hydrocarbon potential of offshore prospects, opportunities in the world!!, I would put SFB at the top of the list! in terms of methane locked in hydrates close to sea floor or methane at various levels in the Tertiary and the CRETACEOUS for that matter!. Nowhere in the world would you see such extensive occurrence of gas hydrates, gas clouds/'accummulations' sometimes down to 2 kms -- don't be on a cruise or on the Falklands Islands in case there is a large earthquake and lighting! >> the biggest southern lights! In terms of H/Cs in the deeper section (Cretaceous-Jurassic), well, well down the list list IMHO. Darwin is unique in many ways: storm sorted/long shore drift sands at the edge of the shelf in a STRUCTURAL trap; trap uniquely formed at the intersection of two fault systems. Alas, all the other wells on largely stratigraphic traps with EXCELLENT amplitude/AVO! anomalies as claimed by all companies pre-drill, have FAILED: Toroa, seismic and ELECTROMAGNETIC anomalies (what happened to its application??) Loligo ( 50 TCF 'discovery' seems to have evaporated- or escaped into the gas hydrate layers above!) Scotia, Stebbing (we are not hearing anymore about this play/area?), Humpback (the only well where inverse 'discovery' seems to work: Water on 'black oil', on gas!). I guess Humpback is the biggest disappointment in that it was after ~ 12,000 square km of 3D seismic and amplitude/VAO anomalies.. The challenge is the sand quality/distribution and source type and maturity it seems. After this rambling, reluctantly, I could not put any the prospects in SFB on a worlwide list! but , apart from small structural tarps with proper AVO anomalies! , the drilling results to-date might be a good guide for any prospects with stratigraphic traps; that is the reality and all IMHO of course- without the world wide knowledge I hasten to add..

Re: New presentation out RedRocksWhat's your opinion of the potential whole of the SFB (BOR and EX FOGL) in comparison to other offshore prospects in the world? If you were to write an assets shopping list for producers based on recovery cost per barrel of oil (or oil equivalent) of resources, access to markets, security etc where would SFB be? Starting with best prospects at the top of the list.

Re: New presentation out So much is said about the DHI, seismic attributes,.. on Darwin East and West and clear definition of contacts etc ie similarity. A well on Darwin West will merely confirm what's already 'known'! What would make a big difference to Darwin's fortunes is a test on the larger but riskier plays to the east for the same sand play, off the shelf.

Re: New presentation out "Time to put a bit of cash in here?"Tough bloody call. I have a decent holding, that I have built up substantially over the past year. I'm certainly happy to hold, as Borders have around six years of cash and no debt. But the deepwater Darwin asset itself is a little iffy (despite their claim of $40/b break-even), given that it has not been appraised (and west Darwin not drilled at all) and of course is condensate. So I guess, at least for me, it's a long-term hold. Borders were very close to striking a deal a few years ago -- Borders claim that commercial terms were actually agreed -- and at some stage the oil price should come back sufficiently to make the asset worthwhile. The key thing for any farm-in partner is that there are a load of low risk targets surrounding Darwin, and all within less than a 10km radius. One production facility could be kept very busy for decades given the surrounding potential...So, all in all, a sleepy stock, but one that could quickly become a ten-bagger if/when the oil price recovers. All IMHO of course....

Re: New presentation out What do you think Poodle - time to put a bit of cash here?I suppose as an ex FOGL holder now RKH, buying more RKH might make more sense as their SFB licenses are valved at zero and RKH are not a one trick pony.

It would be nice to see what they do. If they are waiting on Noble they will be waiting a long time.
