Re: Quiz anyone? younginvestor95 ........the point , to me, is that QUIZ have a very strong on-line sales business , as core to the overall business.... they have lots of links and associates to grow sales ... they are in 20 countries .... and i have actually been into their stores, and am very impressed. Their stylish offerings can be physically seen by buyers .... (I personally do all my clothes shopping from shops, not on-line, as i need to try it on to convince myself ...others feel the same about their purchases too ) .....so on-line very much so, and in this case effective stores too. That said .... my on-line clothes sales portfolio is with Boohoo, ASOS, QUIZ, Zalando ......What does your portfolio consist of ? .......SAGE

Re: Quiz anyone? Well done guys for taking the punt but sticking to my guns that it’s too risky. Might be good as a fad for the next year or so but online is where it’s going and the fact they have retail stores just doesn’t make me want to invest in it. Well played on the money you made though!YI

Future fashion predictions.. Greetings,According to the marketing company 'Euromonitor International'Men's market for clothes sales will grow faster than women's over the next two years.Menswear market will outperform & women's will shrink by 0.2%.If this trend turns out to be correct then it looks like Boohoos recent introduction of their menswear range was very good timing indeed.D.

late trades A whole stack of substantial trades at the end of the day. Has the potential buy back started?

Re: ADVFN news item ...interesting ... Got to say I agree with you there, sp is still relatively low and therefore share buyback is best for the company at this time..Like sage said though, hopefully once the ball gets rolling they will start to consider divi’s for the shareholders as realistically it’s what most investors choose to place their money into,If boohoo brought out dividends, we would probably see a sharp rise in sp, as I suspect a few people aren’t invested in this share, solely for that reason. Re: ADVFN news item ...interesting ... I would guess that they will take advantage of any price weakness to buy back shares as I do believe we have much further to go here. The board are shrewd and prudent so it makes sense to exploit price weakness

Re: ADVFN news item ...interesting ... Hi Brightonboyaswell,The Board will have their short term and medium term objectives for sp growth to trigger their options and their targets. They also know what institutional investors came in for .... most likely capital growth.Share buybacks are the standard practice in the US.For the long term investor, dividends and strong dividend growth are much preferred. So, hopefully, in the not too distant future, we might expect to see dividends soon after a phase of buying backSAGE IN THE HILLS
