Re: Ex div and pay dates Is it just me but the return of value timing and amount is all very vague? The steady rise in SP is encouraging but I have no feel for the consequences of the eventual pay out and merger.Tempted to take my profit and run.Yours On the Vergevb6

Re: B Shares 1014p was repeated in today's presentation (slide 23) but the method has yet to be specified. It will be down to whichever is considered best tax-wise. If it is given as a special dividend it will count for your income tax. If it is done via a 'B' share subject to redemption it will count against your capital gains tax. Some companies do this for dividends - to help you understand this you can read this from RR. -[link] method is chosen you can expect the share rice to drop that amount when it goes ex entitlement.

Re: B Shares Thanks Bronco. It's all a bit vague, isn't it. They may or may not issue B shares or some other method of distribution. The value may or may not be 1014p.The date of issue is not known. One assumes the value of ordinary shares will drop by the value of the distribution.Or am I just incapable of understanding. Yours Still Mystified vb6

Re: B Shares If you go to the Aveva website for investors and look at the Prospectus, you should find some of the information you need in PART XI - The Return Of Value, on page 158. I'd normally cut and paste but there is quite a bit of info that you need to read.

B Shares Can anyone explain to me the implications of the B Share scheme that will complete on the Record Date that has yet to be set?The share price went up by around 600p when the scheme was proposed on 5th September. Apparently we will receive one B share for each ordinary share held. Should we expect a price drop when the unlisted B shares are issued? Will they be worth anything?Yours Mystified vb6

Schneider Well they've been courting for years, it's about time they set the date to get wed.It sounds a bit of a complicated deal, but it must be a good deal for we shareholders.
