at 370p presentation contain profit warning! the presentation is well worth a read and despite it 'not containing new inforamtion'in my mind it was effectively a profit warningit stated that volumes in used cars were down 1-2%and that 2018 was facing 'headwinds'i dont think when that is announced in June it will impress the market when they on a premium ratingthings i noted....1 - they make a lot of opportunity to help sell new cars.... i'd agree but this is a 10 years project2 - they say that used cars volume reducing and that they face headwins in next 2 years... hmm that's not good (unless you are shorting)3 - they say motor traders not trusted!!! yikes - they are the most trustsed but in an industry that is not trsusted... (almost like PURP!!)4 - they are big on data... which is good but it then takes them 110 slides to describe their business - are they good at summarising data???5 - to achieve the move into new cars they will need to invest in IT and brand etc.. so in the shrot term these are costs.....if the growth new car story is belvieed then maybe they should be on a higher rating....but i dont think their profits will be achieved as current market forecasts have them...but this is an industry facing headwinds and we know UK consumer finding things tough so i dont see it as mega growth and thus still think there is decent chance of 20% fall and maybe more....the price is now back below a falling 200d which is a very negative chart patternAll IMHO, DYOR + BoLAUTO is in my portfolio (SHORT)

Final Results Zeus Capital note out this morning on Research Tree: "Final results from Auto Trader contain few surprises and were marginally ahead of our forecasts on most measures. Cash conversion was better, net debt was lower, which will result in a rolling share buyback programme as anticipated. Ahead of the analyst meeting, we do not anticipate significant changes to our forecasts. Our view on the stock has not changed, and we continue to view BCA Marketplace as a better alternative to play the sector with genuine structural growth opportunities on a pan European basis."
