Superb trading statement Superb trading statement from APF again. Record profits , lovely dividend, cost of acquisitions being paid off quickly and plenty of cash for new acquisitions. From the share price rise one hopes that the market is finally waking up to this well run company.

RNS - Robert Stan's Share Purchase Hi Buzz Thanks for all the info. If only I bought when I saw it moving. lol Yes 100% increase since I was messaging you. I’ll never make a good trader! RNS - Robert Stan's Share Purchase BKY seems to be going bananas at the moment. Now trading 21.5-22p. Not a clue what is the reason, but way up by about 8p on the opening level. So now about half what the price was in Sept 2018. AHA someone has just posted this link:- U.K. – 10 Jan 19 Spain watchdog OKs safety studies for planned uranium mine - source Spain's nuclear watchdog has endorsed two studies by Australian company Ber... “…MADRID, Jan 10 (Reuters) - Spain’s nuclear watchdog has endorsed two studies by Australian company Berkeley for a project to build Europe’s only open-cast uranium mine near Salamanca, a source with knowledge of the matter said, a preliminary step in the approval process…” I have a bit of a concern that too much good news may be being read into this, but it is still some good news for APF. Plus a good day for APF. The Buzz

Largo Resources Record Q3 2018 Results Q4 2018 results out:- largoresources.com Largo Resources Announces Record Q4 and Full Year 2018 Production Results and... Record production of 2,595 tonnes of V2O5 in Q4 2018, a 2% increase over Q4 2017 Record FY 2018 production of 9,830 tonnes of V2O5, exceeding midpoint guidance of 9,650 tonnes by 2% and a 6% increase over FY 2017 2019 Guidance: Annual V2O5 production... Again good production. Despite recent fall back in V2O5 price, still 38% up on the year (and benefitted by the elevated price during the year), Largo has confidence in the longer time period for the V2O5 demand - and recent Largo RNSs have shown them to prudently pay down debt during ‘the good times’. “Vanadium Outlook Update On the back of the Company’s solid production growth in 2018, vanadium prices soared approximately 156% but have recently receded to the range of US15.50-16.00/lb10. This reported price range for vanadium is presently up 38% when compared to the same period last year and Largo continues to believe as a result of the structural supply deficit, an elevated pricing environment should remain for the metal in the short-term.” In terms of APF royalty V2O5 falls back from being an outstanding income to a very satisfactory income. If Largo is right about future demand and carries on boosting production, ( The expansion project to increase nameplate production capacity to approximately 1,000 tonnes of V2O5 per month is progressing on time and the Company expects to reach the new nameplate capacity rate in Q3 2019.) then the vanadium royalty looks set to continue to be a valuable royalty. It again harps back in part to the Chinese economy and trade sanctions. The Buzz

RNS - Robert Stan's Share Purchase Back to coking coal. As I said earlier the market will take a while to wake up, but this interesting article implies that there could b a good market for coking coal in the immediate future:- [link] Likewise nickel - the fall seems to have stabilised a bit - it is really a medium term player which is what I perceive it to be in the APF portfolio.:- business-standard.com Nickel strengthens 0.66 pc on spot demand Nickel prices edged up by 0.66 per cent to Rs 767.80 per kg in futures trade Friday amid pick up in demand from alloy-makers at the domestic spot markets. RNS - Robert Stan's Share Purchase Sorry BKY is not my forte. However an RNS went out this morning - a director sold 1m shares. [link] Just saw a 100k purchase go through and now a raft of other trades. 14-14.25p. Real news, second guessing or the end of a line of shares that kept being sold recently?? In fact there seems something causing a rush to trade?? Many trades are sells so sounds like an ii is on the scene. Plus APF just jumped a bit (141-145p) as it ought if BKY is doing better. [link] Sorry that is the best that I can suggest. APF now ex-div so another divi cheque coming my way. I will note however, a bit of a cooling of some of our commodities at the moment, but it is the start of a new year and things need to get going again with uncertain demand with trade wars. The Buzz

RNS - Robert Stan's Share Purchase Hi Buzz, fully agree re Stan’s share transaction . Very much a positive. Re Spain with all its financial problems and unemployment levels quite remarkable that their own uranium project is not progressing but seemingly stagnating. Given the market turbulence in recent weeks hopefully APF will get more for their money when they commit to the next acquisition. Happy New Year S

Orvano Gold - Good Results at El Valle orvana.com Orvana Reports 2018 Record Production, Provides Fiscal Year-End Financial... All Amounts in US Dollars Unless Otherwise Stated Fiscal 2018 Achievements: Record gold production of 103,384 ounces, 14% increase from 90,292 ounces in previous year. Very satisfactory performance was the result of: Much improved mining rates for... Record 2018 production and good outlook for 2019. So APF’s El Vale royalty should be another useful income. "El Valle – Delivers 13% higher gold production: Oxides ore mining productivity enhancements allowed for 27% higher-grade ore throughput, thus better annual gold output and reduced unitary costs. Mechanical advance rates in oxides areas continued to improve greatly, increasing by 82% to 6,861 metres, versus 3,761 metres in previous year. "Strategy and Outlook for Fiscal 2019 The Company continues to pursue its objectives of optimizing production, lowering unitary costs, maximizing free cash flow, and extending life-of-mine of operations while increasing their output. It continues to seek strategic and transformative transactions to enhance its profile and longevity, including the review of other potential exploration projects, mainly focused in South America, which could be aligned with the Company’s strategy of adding to reserves and resources. At El Valle, the primary objective is to continue increasing higher-grade oxides mining. For that purpose the Company is conducting additional geological and geotechnical work, to increase mining and mine plan reliability. " Quick sums. Talking gold alone, 2.5% royalty, sales 2018 $102m, gives royalty of $2.5m. APF state $1.7m total royalty for 2017. So that sounds like a useful boost to the APF royalty stream. As for 2019, the El Valle 2017-2018 production guidance was 55,000oz to 62,000oz (achieved 58,000oz). The 2018-2019 production guidance is 62,000oz-68,000oz. Of course 2018-2019 sales will depend on the price of gold. The Buzz

RNS - Robert Stan's Share Purchase I see that Robert Stan has increased his APF holding by 13,000 shares to 226,015 shares. [link] [link] It is good news when a director buys shares and Robert’s purchase is particularly significant to me. I had a very long chat with him at an AGM and it soon became apparent to me that he had a very detailed knowledge on mining issues where I also had some detailed knowledge. I found it very re-assuring that Robert was an APF director and whose knowledge would go a long way in making sound investment decisions. So to see him buy more SPF shares is more anecdotal evidence that APF is a sound investment. The Buzz As an aside, the BKY share price is languishing at around 8.3p. Little sign of market confidence with recent RNS showing running down of holdings held by RCF to below 4%. [link] I was trying to glean some information from the LSE chat page [link] as it seemed to be very busy - but as far as I could make out that nothing substantial was given other than that Spain has just announced the purchase of uranium for its nuclear reactors. [link] ie Spain seems to be happy with buying and processing uranium, but mining seems to be a different issue??

VALE - Nickel and Iron Ore Statement Hi Buzz, as always informative information and insights from you which are much appreciated. You are so right re acquisitions and how the market responds to them. In the market mayhem at the moment, three very big positives stand out regarding APF, namely 1. its a very well run company 2. it has low overheads and 3. it is highly profitable with an excellent dividend. That may well be four positives but as you know a great number of much larger companies in the footsie do not tick ANY of these boxes let alone four. Have a great Christmas and fingers crossed for a highly successful 2019 with APF. My wife and I intend to attend the agm again next year so hopefully might meet you there. S

LARGO Update 19-12-2018 largoresources.com Largo Resources Completes Drill Program at Novo Amparo Norte in Maracás and... Extensive 25,000 metre exploration program planned for 2019 on several targets near Campbell Pit including additional drilling at Novo Amparo Norte Largo Resources Ltd. ("Largo" or the "Company") (TSX: LGO) (OTCQX: LGORF) is pleased to announce that... This appears to me to be an optimistic update on the current and proposed drilling programmes. There is also an update on prices:- " Vanadium Outlook It is Largo’s view that the recent dip in vanadium prices to US$23.50-24.00/lb do not reflect what we believe to be the overall fundamentals of the market which have remained largely unchanged and, in Largo’s view, continue to show a structural supply deficit for the foreseeable future. Vanadium prices are up approximately 156% compared to the same period last year. Largo continues to expect an elevated pricing environment for vanadium that will continue to remain in place until new supply is brought online I have not commented on the grades from the drill program as I am unfamiliar with what are considered to be good results, however the mere fact that LARGO has highlighted specific thicknesses and grades such as:- • 1.18% V2O5 over 18.76 metres (true thickness of 13.10 metres*) in hole FNAN-26 implies to me that they think that there are some good measurements. Does anyone else have an understanding of these drill results?? I think that LARGO have been accelerating their drill program as they have been making lots of money. They are sounding very excited by their latest results and potential extensions to the mining are eg: "The drill results at Novo Amparo Norte have exceeded our initial expectations and reinforce our view that Maracás continues to have tremendous potential. " V2O5 is now a significant royalty for APF. The apparently good drilling results means that V2O5 production could significantly increase over the coming years - and if prices go the way that LARGO are predicting, then the same can be said about royalty income. The Buzz Footnote on Hummingbird Resources who own Dugbe and need finances to develop it. They had a recent setback due to the wet weather and the share price fell back as this year’s production (and income) will be less than expected. That said next year’s production ought to be higher than previous estimates as they have bought another ball mill to boost processing. However the significant news is that the just announced drill results for the Gonka pit (5km from the processing plant) that are outstanding - and the high grades identified so far 'could be the tip of an iceberg" - implying a strong possibility of a fairly large very high grade discovery as they explore at greater depth. ie if HUM make good money here then they will be in a better position to finance - especially if the recent recovery in the price of gold continues.

VALE - Nickel and Iron Ore Statement Yes I have not posted much as you say not much news about. Prices of coal ans vanadium are doing well still - not really news if I keep on saying that. cmegroup.com Australian Coking Coal (Platts) Low Vol Futures Quotes - CME Group Find information for Australian Coking Coal (Platts) Low Vol Futures Quotes provided by CME Group. View Quotes Coking coal at $223/mt is a very good price. Price of oil is a big uncertainty - all one can do is observe what the achieved thermal coal price is Barchart.com ICE NewCastle Coal Apr '18 (LQJ18) Futures Price Quote - Barchart.com Free futures price quote for LQJ18. Latest real-time Cboe BZX price quote, charts, financials, technicals and opinions. and in my books above $100/mt is a good price. I have religiously been following the cyclone forecast for Australia [link] in particular recently with storms hitting Sydney, but apart from a small category 1 cyclone way off the East coast earlier this week, the weather seems to have been quiet. So it seems unlikely that there will be a repeat of previous years’ major damage to rail and mine infrastructure that cyclones have previously caused. Then V2O5 - the price seems to be holding up:- [link] Then there is nickel - still a good price but really a revenue earner yet. As I recently posted - I am not really sure where it is going, but the IC seems convinced that it is going to do really well:- “Nickel should soar …The price of nickel has declined despite expectations that demand for it is set to explode, so when will its bright future be fully reflected in prices and miners’ earnings? In our latest Sector Focus Alex Newman picks through the wreckage of the commodities markets at the end of 2018.” investorschronicle.co.uk – 6 Dec 18 Nickel's electric dreams Demand for nickel is expected to explode with electric vehicle battery technology. So why is the metal's price on the floor? and that leaves us with uranium - the price is doggedly slowly increasing. The Canadian toll revenue should be a good secure income - but Berkeley Energia is at risk of not performing - at least that is what its share price is telling me. Moving onto acquisitions - it is a bit ironic that APF shareholders and at the edge of their chairs waiting for a deal to be announced, and yet deals can also be negative. For instance, I sold GSK at 08:14 on 3.12.2018 for £16.3921… a share. Hardly had the ink got dry on the sale when GSK announce a huge purchase, the market did not like it and the share price is now about £14.18!! Hardly a change that one expects with a blue chip!! APF share price seems to have fallen back with the trade war with China and the USA. I saw that some of my shares bought cheap for a quick turn round were in profit, so sold 2700 shares at 148.2p, again on 3.12 2018. Disappointingly the share price is now only about 133p but at least I made the short term profit that I was aiming for. To summarise, despite Trump’s battling, the revenue stream for APF appears to have remained strong of late… and the promise of a bonus dividend in the New Year beckons. As for buying with the lower FTSE 100 share prices - I remain cautious still and will continue to stand on the sidelines - too many falling knives about! The Buzz
