Re: Rogadar "the key question to answer"The drills, of course, are a part of that answer. For over 12 months there were no drills and then a couple back in 2016, followed by 6 in 2017, which no way matched the 2013/14 AMER drilling campaign Now we are back to that previous level of activity.More obviously (and the reason for the re-ignition of the drilling campaign, of course, is POO. "Mr. Market" has been a bit slow in adjusting to $80 a barrel and the "Aramco" effect. There are a lot of undervalued oilers about and it is the sector of opportunity at the moment: 2018 balance sheets will be drowning in cash. One of reasons why it is worth looking at the SLP comparison (and that has tripled from 6p) is the effect of a major shareholder selling down. In that case, it was the Miton Group and it was a forced reduction (the funds under its control decreased significantly when a couple of the high flying managers left and took their client base with them). RH has provided our "Miton Moment". He has had a lot of fun (and financial pain to go with it) but at the current volumes, any effect from him is significantly diluted. So much of the market is TA driven and that provides momentum (in either direction) and creates the over bought oversold territory and that provides the fodder for a fundamentalist feeding frenzy (in this case at the bottom). Once the trend reverses, they join (and of course make) the party. To put your conclusion another way, the Market is blind and does not see that which we do: that creates these opportunities.

Re: Rogadar Charlieeee, to be without debt is a great thing, but clearly not enough. Everybody says this SP is enormously undervalued, and I agree, but why. Why those who count, i.e. the Market, undervalues this company so much. What is it, that Market see, that we do not. That is the key question to answer, not to keep repeating the known facts about, drills, oil or not in place, prospects etc. etc. For me this one is, wait and see.

Re: Onwards and upwards Closed on a down? The Oil Price continues its irresistable march upwards.0.25% is not much of a down.As for all the Duster predictions AMER are not wildcat drilling! This has a way to go!

charlieeee 22 May 2018

Rogadar The caution, Rogadar, is that this is already a producer without debt and that provides an underpin to the value of the share. So often, that is not the case and then a failed drill means back to the market and dilution to fund the next drill. Here, they could fund drills for the next 10 years out of existing reserves.Furthermore, we are not wild catting. In CPO-5, they have tested their theory and found oil in Mariposa: now they are rolling that out: reasonable optimism is justified. For those that have a zero tolerance to risk, then sell after spudding and before terminal depth.I would be more cautious if we were looking at a single drill, in new territory and with unproven management, but none of that is the case here. Indeed, JW, is credited with the Emerald Energy discovery and that delivered a 9 bagger through the drill bit in Colombia, Gigante in the upper Magdalena valley and Campo Rico in the Llanos basin: a CEO who does have quite respectable relevant experience, do you not think?

Re: Onwards and upwards what did I tell you...….lol... close on a down...….The prob with AMER is its like England, 2 days of good weather and along comes some form of hitty with an s weather caused by an air stream 15 miles due east camal ride from the coast...……!!!!!!!!!!xxxgiuwgqxigwidgwecg…….

Re: Elena back on true form I am not too keen on the idea, everything is going to be positive, first new drill, will discover oil, so many drills planned, this cannot fail, SP at 64p, etc, etc. All this is just not serious. Where is the caution. First completed drill is going to be crucial and will effect SP accordingly, if positive, SP will rise, perhaps up to 30p, if negative it's going to be a slaughter. Further subsequent drills will have considerably less influence on SP, positive or not. Reserves are being depleted fast and new discovery, is essential to prop up SP. Than, there is political situation to be taken into the account. For me this one is, for now, wait and see.

Re: Elena back on true form 100% agree. that this should rise further to price in expectations and that will probably happen once they can firm up the spud dates. If it does run amok on anticipation, then of course it will fall if that is disappointed, but as it stands at the moment with the current price of oil, 20p is undervalued.Generally, I disregard what Malcy has to say, but his comment that at 20p this is an option on the drilling campaign does quite neatly sum up the position here. These undervalued and debt free producers are quite rare and when they come good, such as ATYM and SLP, they provide a really good return with minimal risk.

Nice to Michu 22 May 2018

Re: Elena back on true form Very impressive Charlieeee and thanks. You are a top detail man here. But if they fail at the first drill some will bail and if they also fail at the second some more will bail..etc.. that will of course have a negative effect on the s/p imho.. how much is debatable of course .. and the level it's at ahead of the first drill result and to where it could fall is of course also debatable..I'd like to see this get up towards 25p in the coming days/weeks and ahead of first drill update.. towards getting back to a more fair/reasonable level in the first place... and of course in anticipation of drilling results/success.. then any fall would not be as hurful a thing..
