No joy here Got out of this at 34p and actually made a profit on this AIM puppy. It all went sour when the senior grand pappy sold off a chunk of shares. Clearly new where this was heading and so I got out pronto and never looked back. Something is odd with the whole set up here. A company can not be worth less than its cash value unless the cash was never there to start with. This is a loser and best to be avoided.

Re: Corner Turned ? You are right, perhaps banking any rise, if we have made a worthwhile one, by mid March would be a wise move. Then maybe coming back in later.

Re: Corner Turned ? I agree, the recent performance has been quite good, although there is still a mountain to climb to get back to previous levels.Let us hope that this is not a repeat of 2012 and 2013 where the sp climbed quite well in the early months of the year only to resume the falls after about April. We need to get above the 200MA (currently about 12p) and stay there for several months to show the rising trend is more stable.[link]

Re: long term view Hi guys, I've been following this share for a few months now and I am very surprised that it went down all the way to 6p.I can't congratulate Lambrini calling 8p as it was given with now reason or substance, but I am surprised. My long term view remains around the 30p mark and as long as I'm not hearing any updates from the company I'm not changing my buy recommendation. It's a long term hold for me as my shares are in a SIPP and Family Trust and I have no urgency to close my position, in fact at these levels it's worth to average down, but I'm cautious that we may not have seen the bottom if the shares are being shorted, although I haven't seen any provider offering a short. The whole market has come down and I'm hopeful that the New Year will bring us a few rewards.Happy New Year everyone!

Re: long term view Was going to buy today at 6.5p as it looks like a 10 bagger - but 10 baggers dont happen like this do they? - decided against it. Either something v strange in the board room is going on or the market value o the product is below the production cost. Dont think $5.99 for a fancy carton of OJ. Think $0.50 for a crate. FYI - My family have orange and lemon trees - lots of them. They were not worth picking or 10 years, they just let them drop. They now make lemon and orange liquer and make a decent-ish living.

is nav around 4p per share?

Vincentinvestor1 13 Dec 2014

long term view agriculture business is not a punting business, as an investor you need a long term view ( 3-5 years minimum ) at 6p you should have a dedent runfyi 4.6 million orange trees x 130 kilo/ tree at maturity = 600.000 tonnes production ( 3x times more than today ! )

Re: interesting play I am very seriously tempted to top up at these levels. I first invested here at around 50p and watched it rise to around 80p. Since then the SP has suffered a slow death hastened by that Gotham City like job some analyst did a few years ago. But it had seemed to build a strong base around 12p, can't believe this has now broken too. But the fundamentals (if they are true, and I'm not sure if they are £s or RMB on this website) still look amazing.

Re: interesting play I think that it is unlikely that the revenues from the orange business will cover the necessary operating costs in FY15E. But cash wil still be at 12p after investments to get production levels pre typhoon/orange cancer level. After the FY14 losses, book value per share was approximately 53p per share at the last balance sheet date. Trading at 0.15 x NAV is cruel especially if you can assume that cash will respresent 12p after necessary FY15 investmentsimo

interesting play I have been watching this company for a while, looking for 6.75-7 then will step in.222

Vincentinvestor1 03 Dec 2014

cash levels Further operating losses and continued capital expenditure in this fiscal year mean that I expect a reduction in cash at the end of FY15EI expect cash levels to be around 12p/ share at the end of this fiscal yearCurrent SP gives a 50% growth path to my assumed cash levelsimo
