I've sold I sold this morning.I can understand the reasoning for the fundraising, and the placing price is good, especially given where the share price has been only recently. But ZTF were already on a very, very high multiple, and this is will make it even worse. ZTF themselves say that the placing will be earnings-dilutive for the next two years. So whilst ZTF are a top-quality company, and I suspect the share price will hold reasonably well (in stable markets anyway), how much upside is there now from here for the foreseeable future? Maybe 10%-15% at most I'd have thought unless trading is exceptional.N+1 Singer are reviewing their forecasts for the dilution - I'd expect ZTF will now be on a P/E of more than 30.I've doubled my money in just over a year, so it's been an unexpectedly good run. ZTF are a good company, so I may have to buy back in and bite my tongue at some point! It'll certainly remain on the watchlist.

Re: Placing Placing completed with approx 8.9M shares @530p.Looks like they want a manufacturing location within the EU, though its mainly about extra capacity as Croydon site is full.''the Group's UK plant is now fully built-out and due to CE's [Central Europe's] proximity to customers, its lower costs and the local investment incentives available, while also taking into account Brexit-related considerations.'' - Debottlenecking is what Synthomer call it.Debt is also being restructured''a new £57.5 million, five year secured debt facility arranged by Handelsbanken and NatWest, replacing its existing debt facilities of approximately £35 million....The debt terms are attractive with significantly lower pricing than the existing debt being repaid.'' - suggests they have paid off most of the existing loans but maybe not the £10M from Barclays only taken out in Mar 2018. ZTF have made good long term strategic decisions so far and have strong IP for their products but until this year, the SP hasnt reflected their market position. Currency rates and feedstock prices will influence margins but ability to push up sales volumes in europe will drive long term growth.SG

Placing Zotefoams is raising about £20 million through a placing to build a new factory in Poland. Judging by the comments that the preferred site is on the A4 corridor in South West Poland (subject to the agreement of appropriate local investment incentives) I would hazard a guess that the site is not far from Gliwice where the Opel factory is. Gliwice is an old coal-mining district with a lot of brownfield land that is being remediated and with lots of EU grants and local incentives available. If so that is a very good location to supply industry in Germany, Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia. Labour rates are low by EU standards and there are plenty of skilled industrial workers in that region. All in all this looks like a very sound move by Zotefoams.

Re: ZTF TIPPED..................... Arden have issued a new Buy note this morning. Results were ahead of consensus. Revenues were "ahead of expectations in each division", and they anticipate "good consensus upgrades in the near-term and longer-term upside as growth opportunities are crystallised".They've increased EPS forecasts by 6%, and "there is material upside risk of 15-20% to 2019 EPS" based on expansion plans and HPP demand. with "multi-year upside in the Zotefoams story".

ZTF TIPPED..................... From the M Fool........[link] outlookThe company in question is cellular material technology specialist Zotefoams (LSE: ZTF). It reported a record 2017 financial year for sales and profits. Revenue increased by 22% to £70.15m, experiencing strong growth across its business. This helped to push reported profit, before tax and exceptional items, to an all-time high of £8.81m. This is an increase of 22% and shows that the company’s strategy appears to be sound.During the period, Zotefoams was able to complete its major US capacity expansion investment that’s now producing high-quality foam. The company is also investing in capacity expansion as it prepares for future growth. And while the macroeconomic environment remains uncertain, near-term growth potential remains high.Looking ahead to its performance in the current year, the stock is expected to record a rise in earnings of 8%. This is expected to be followed by growth of 24% next year. This puts the company on a price-to-earnings growth (PEG) ratio of just 0.9, which suggests that it offers excellent value at the present time. As such, now could be a good time to buy it for the long term.

Re: Results ahead of expectations Agree - another cracking set of results today along with CCC.Hopefully a retrace back above 500p is on the cards if the market expectation was in line with N+1S.Still early days for the Nike deal as well so I'll continue to hold and hopefully continue its growth performance of recent months.

gretel 13 Mar 2018

Results ahead of expectations Excellent results, ahead of N+1 Singer's expectations:[link] sales are £70m+, well ahead of forecast £68m- adjusted PBT is £8.81m, well ahead of forecast £8.6m- EPS and dividend just ahead/bang on expectations- good start to 2018:"The year has started positively, with first quarter order volumes 8% higher than 2017 and an increased proportion of higher-value HPP sales."

Re: RNS: BlackRock are buying Hi Gretel,44,414,442 is the total number of shares in issue for ZTF.4,583,171 (10.31%) are currently owned by Blackrock from the latest RNS. They have been yo-yoing about the 10% level for some time so not a major change in their holding. They were up to 6.9M in 2016.Interestingly they have sold out of all their CFDsThe SP has risen very quickly in the last few weeks so the institutional holders must be on a buying spree. The peak was around 530p on 6th March. I also wonder if some of these big swings also involve hedge funds going long then short?SG
