Re: Director sells - explicit "I am always surprised by how under the radar this share is because it has fantastic growth figures over the last 6 years with very low volatility"There does seem to be an inverse correlation with my portfolio holdings as to the quieter the BB the better the SP performance. YNGA is one of the quieter boards but slightly lagging in the performance - a fairly steady 11% profit in 15 months. For now though happy to hold YNGA in the Y slot of my alphabet ISA.

Re: Director sells - explicit The other thing I thought about this is that a tax liability of £232900 (17000 * £13.7) is quite a tax bill to have!! It is nice to see something on the BB. I am always surprised by how under the radar this share is because it has fantastic growth figures over the last 6 years with very low volatility.

Director sells - explicit Not sure I've ever seen fairly routine sales such as today's explained in such detail as to the reason why. It's nice to know why they sold but not sure any other director sales of my other holdings have sought to reassure the market to such an extent.Maybe it's the Young way.Steady as she goes, just like this BB

Re: Spread Treat any price / data on II with a large inch of salt (about half a ton). The only way to be certain is to actual go through the trade process but don't accept the offer.

Re: Spread I have n't bought or sold from my holding for some years;but I think if you look at the actual prices the shares are traded at the spread is usually somewhat closer than the range usually listed.

Spread There seems to be an ever increasing spread from sell to buy on this share 1331 -1370, a 40p difference. Not sure Ive seen that before is there any reason for it increasing?Tha

Re: Director - Torquil Charles fflorance Bar... imagine the time taken to write your name at the top of an exam paper - there would be no time left to answer the questions still, as long as he does his job for us shareholders I will be happyPE

Re: Positive article The 1,475p net asset value per share quoted in the article is incorrect! The writer has forgotten to take account of the approx 19m non voting shares which rank equally with these for divi & share of assets! It is about 940p per share when non vote shares are taken into account.

Brunch o'clock..... ......with a round of Bloody Marys are apparently driving sales & our continued success!(According to the interim report).I'll stick with a boiled egg & the increased dividend.

Director Sales A number of director sales over the last few days. Always make me feel a bit itchy - seems like bad news even if its not.

Trading Prospects I think we have had a bounce back today on the back of a good trading update from Fuller's.Incidently the non voting Young shares which trade at around £8 are good value as apart from not having a vote rank equally for divis etc and as a consequence have a better yield.A takeover is highly unlikely due to Young family interests.Lets hope punters continue to drown their trading losses with a pint & meal at Young's and competitors pubs at least,as I seem to have shares in numerous brewers & pub companies !

Positive Results These interims look really solid considering the difficult trading conditions. Like this company and in my ISA.
