Victrex finals A pretty good set of figures in today’s finals, together with a special dividend. The report cited concerns about Brexit and particularly the movement of goods and the possibility of WTO tariffs if we get a hard Brexit. They are stockpiling in Europe and China to mitigate this risk. It looks like these Brexit facts caused to sp to fall 4.5% today. Personally I don’t this it will come so for me this is investable on a long term basis. The p/e is quite high and the divi below average and so many will think it overpriced. Against that I woukd say that it is a growing company and a leader in its fireld. Cheers, Frog in a tree

Dyson mememe - Frog has summed it up pretty well. Games – never held Dechra and not done any research on it really

Dyson Mememe, Dechra has grown strongly over recent years. In its recent report it warned of increasing competition. “Dechra Pharmaceuticals, down 15%. The veterinary medicines maker warned on challenging market conditions due to growing competition from European veterinary products suppliers, as it reported a rise in profit. Dechra said revenue in the year to the end of June grew 13% to GBP407.1 million from GBP359.3 million reported for the same period a year earlier, pushing pretax profit up to GBP28.9 million from GBP28.6 million. Dechra noted that the veterinary market is seeing faster change than at any time in its history. The company said veterinary distributors, who operate in the majority of countries in Western Europe and North America, are changing and are beginning to increase focus on the sales and marketing of their own products. Dechra also highlighted European practice corporate consolidation is increasing, especially in the UK and Northern European countries, while the US companies are taking a small presence in the UK and a significant presence in mainland Europe.” Whether you think the company will continue to grow or stall is up to you. I think it is a good company which will continue to prosper… Cheers, Frog in a tree

Dyson @Gamesinvestor1, unless I’m missing something hasn’t Dechra fallen 20% in a month or are you saying skyrocketed over the long term.

Dyson Recommended to me be my late beloved Maine Coon, Oliver. He developed thyroid problems in his old age and was prescribed Felimazole, a Dechra product, which prolonged his life for a couple of years until he died at age 18. A liitle research indicated a growing company so I bought some. Up 158% since February 2015. Latest couple of reports might be worth reading if you are interested. Could be a takeover target at some point. Cheers, Frog

Dyson I missed that one old dude, I was asleep at the wheel. Concentrating on some of the bigger holdings of late - just sold Unilever which leaves a gaping hole in my portfolio. Dechra has skyrocketed - well done. Games

Dyson Another nice little earner for me has been Dechra, a company specialising in pet pharmas. Cheers, Frog in a tree

Dyson Using Victrex products :- [link] Got to be good publicity at least :- “”"Sir James Dyson continues to push boundaries. At the launch of his V10 range in March the entrepreneur boasted that his team had reinvented the cordless vacuum cleaner to have the suction power of a corded machine. Cue explanations about hi-tech components that were smaller, faster and lighter than those that had gone before. And for the impeller – essentially the rotor at the heart of the machine – Dyson had used “polyether ether ketone (Peek) and carbon fibre composite, found inside high-intensity pistons”.""" Games

Re: Motley tips Victrex You are not alone! I've held for a while now (over 2 years) - not an exciting share or company - but one to tuck away and feel relaxed about owning. I think this mode is changing, perhaps I should do the same and average up? Pity I didn't do it yesterday!
