Re: Offer A holder since the start, I think this is much nearer "shall I/shan't I" than at the time of the last issue which, if you remember was heavily scaled back. Existing holders get no advantage for their loyalty. Prospectus qualified with several risks. My own considerations include a possible fall in the price following a base rate increase, much nearer price to offer than last time, and uncertainty in the electricity market in these political timesAlso I just wonder if the yield is now looking low compared with the yield on RDSB for those who are in for the income relative to riskOnly my own musings, DYOR

Re: Offer Well I'll be applying for some. Simply because I was thinking of topping up my UKW holding anyway and this gives me a cheap way in. Going for 1125 based on the financially irrational logic that it rounds up my holding to a number ending in 000. The OCD in me likes that. I hope it wont be scaled back.Obsessively,

Re: Offer FWIW, I am not taking up my allocation. The thought of several more tranches this year, a huge increase in number of shares, a price close to market and way above NAV seems risky.

Re: Offer mattwie, "Is this worth taking up given the price is a shade over 119p right now and stays that way?"IMO if you believe UKW is a growing company that is likely to fulfil its stated objectives regarding size of dividends and linked to RPI then yes. The amount of shares to take up depends on your circumstances. You will get shares free of dealing charge. There is a fair chance of above average long term income and small capital gain (with luck). If you were a trader interested in short term gain then perhaps best option is to sell some or all of your UKW before offer closes and apply for an amount shares you want to speculate on. It is obvious that SP will be about 1% above open offer price because that is what traders do. Why buy at say 119.3p + 0.5% stamp duty + broker charge when you can buy shares in open offer for 117p. One risk is that offer over subscribed and trader gets less shares than they wanted. It is probable that after current open offer complete SP will move back to around 125p. Problem is more open offers to come so SP will saw tooth around with lows near next open offer price.I have a large enough holding of UKW share so have decided to apply for 1/3 as many as current holding then sell them and perhaps a few more after open offer ended and SP has picked up a bit, as I expect it to. That's my view anyway though as usual DYOR.

Offer I've just had the corporate action email from iii to purchase new shares at 117p. Is this worth taking up given the price is a shade over 119p right now and stays that way?

Re: Prospectus I'm a little confused now after receiving a reply. It sounds like the dates might be changing! Maybe why the SP is starting to rise again. Any way the reply, from Joe Mc Daniel :- "Yes, all required documents, terms and instructions will be made available in connection with the publishing of the prospectus (including revised dates and deadlines). The Share Issuance Programme includes both a placing and an offer for subscription. We will let you know by email when the prospectus has been made available on the Company’s website.ThanksJoe"
