unusual large spread on share Most mornings start with a spread of as much as 4 or even 5p but at close this narrows to what is a more reasonable 1p. Overall the share price has however gone up slightly. I find this quite puzzling with such a fairly large company. Any ideas ????????????

Re: Results - Not Very Inspiring At the moment the car industry is as busy and the demand for components is ever increasing. What's happening with TT . Why are they not getting the lions share.

Re: Results - Not Very Inspiring This part of the report reads very badly "We have conducted a comprehensive review of the business. This review solidified our understanding of the business." How could management admit to having a shaky view of their own business?

Re: Results - Not Very Inspiring Poor leadership under Anderson (headstrong - and used the recession to bully his strategic thrust which has now created the current problems TTG finds its self in). Jumped ship with Dasani after LTIPs yielded. Smoke and mirrors - and business is still generating less than it did 10 years ago. The constant chopping and changing and mitigation activity has damaged this business. Only a couple of shining businesses remain - hopefully current mgmt. will let the businesses become accountable for there performances and sales - this was removed under the previous leadership. With IMS declining, poor performance from the new sector Sensing/Transportation - I will continue avoid - poor business - TT thinks its grander than reality. Avoid

Re: Results - Not Very Inspiring Indeed not.Not sure how a one off gain [of £5m] can be included in underlying profit. If it was to be excluded then the drop in underlying profit would be 21.4% not 5.2%.A drop of 21.4% in underlying profit should be very worrying, constant currency excuses should be ignored as currency is not constant and the impact is meant to be managedSeems like this business has floundered for several years and makes you wonder what will change with the latest management teamI will continue to avoid

Re: Results - Not Very Inspiring Agreed, the jury is out on TTG, although fair div yield and lowish PE ratio may support the sp at or near current levels. Worrying fall in profitability - particularly excluding exceptionals - which the OIP is intended to address, signal likely headwinds in the competitive landscape. New management team need to prove themselves, not only operationally but also on product leadership. I have twice held TTG, though not currently, and aim to hold off reinvesting until I can see definite signs of margin improvement, which from the results may yet take a while.

The buzz 12 Mar 2015

Results - Not Very Inspiring I thought that the market was getting a bit ahead of itself with the recovery in the share price to above 130p. Currently about 116p after announcing a trading loss. They are still paying a dividend - although I think that that is being a bit too generous and that they need that cash to help pay for the restructuring. I read these results as saying that there will not be an improvement until 2016, and then one needs to reach well into 2016 to see whether the improvements are genuine or just wishful thinking. Europe still seems to be weak and giving cause for concern, despite the much more invigorated car market, so I read this as saying that TTG will be exposed if the car market retrenches. ie It would be like Santanda Bank if TTG were to be subject to the equivalent of a banking stress test! I sold out of TTG some time ago - although I have not yet bought back into TTG, I might do as a long term hold if the price were right. The B

Anticipating good results Nice steady rise in the share price over the last few weeks. Let's hope the results on the 12th March are positive. Should have sold way back when the directors were and ignored analysts.
