So, Ripley! Ripley94: Looks like this was a multiple poster who has been suspended . Frog in a tree sent a comment with other name ?? His detail does not come up ?? Hi Ripley, Suspensions are given for a number of reasons, including posting links to dodgy websites such as those espousing racially-inclined supremacist nonsense. SR has been warned about that previously. But in this case, any suspension (whatever the reason) has also done the individual a favour. SR was the perpetual uber-bear who kept calling it very badly wrong. It was becoming silly. - Regards.

BDEV and TSCO in my experience - over several years he posted. His gold position is doing pretty well right now - of course he has to sell to cash in which is one of the problems of just holding gold forever waiting for the sky to fall.

So if I was you I’d start regularly dosing my bathtub with a dash of peroxide. Hi SBK, There are myriads with similar tendencies. Many feed off each other. It’s one obvious downside of the internet. One common ploy is to take selective quotes or small pieces of occasionally factual information, often well out of context, to push a certain more extreme agenda. Or more often, they parrot dodgy sources who misquote the targets of their venom to make controversial generalisations . A ready supply of new converts willingly buys into the agenda to further spread bias & misinformation, so the process mushrooms. Individually, they’re harmless enough. I’ve no particular beef with SR (or HU), despite previous strong disagreements. But collectively, they can confound more impressionable types who rarely question what they consume. Any misinformation is never a healthy thing. Indeed, my late Dad had at least one Ashkenazi parent: his Mum. But my Mum (of Polish & Belarus background steeped in Catholicism) thinks both his parents were. As you’ll know, the Ashkenazis populated eastern Europe centuries ago. It’s largely of academic interest to me. I choose to consider myself to be first & foremost a global citizen. I’ve no time flag-waving, nationalism, religion, etc. I’ve no kinship with any particular groups. However, I’m more agnostic than atheist. For a few reasons, I want to believe in something omnipotent that’s also much better than our rather pathetic species, with obvious exceptions. - Regards.

I can’t say personally it’s something that makes me proud, ashamed or anything in between. It just is the colour it is. They can’t afford to - its the platforms that are being held responsible as publishers these days, in case you haven’t noticed. I can’t think of a quicker way to kill free speech.

I used to help moderate a forum website ( non-finance, mostly footie ) and we always found that trolls eventually had to post more and more ridiculous stuff to get a bite, so, sooner or later, they were always going to get themselves suspended or banned Personally, I’m not really bothered by the stuff he posts, whether it be vaguely finance related or just general “news†related items. The fact that he posts stuff while tagging in companies which have got nothing to do with the topics he creates is feckin tiresome though … which is probably part of the reason he does it ! BB
