£12.03 No Thanks Poor effort. Not be able to get the 24p dividend and no incentive on the share price(normally these tenders are about 10% greater) so it's a bit of a damp squid. Can't see them get much take up tbh but you never know......

NEW ARTICLE: Is Telecom Plus collapse an opportunity? "There were upgrades to analyst price target for LSE:TEP:Telecom Plus following 'in line' final results Tuesday. But that didn't stop the shares plunging as much as 13% early doors, from a two-and-a-half year high to a seven-month low.The scale of ..."[link]

Ex Dividend Date Sorry to have to ask-I must have missed it.Can you please tell me when the Shares go Ex DividendThanks in anticipation.

£13.00 Well, there's £13.00 achieved. The slight softening of May's viewpoint on energy Caps seems to have helped the share price.Onwards and upwards.Let's hope we can hold above that all-important technical level of £6.00.

Re: Two-year high His research about 6 (?) months ago was to sell TEP and buy Next. TEP subsequently rose 50pct and Next fell 50%.

Jack_Walsh 20 Mar 2017

Re: Two-year high Smith. When does your deep research predict that we'll see £6.00? I seem to recall that you predicted it would hit this level in 6-months; although, that was several years ago.Your TEP shorts must be costing you quite a bit to maintain.

Re: Two-year high Haven't been around in a long while as been involved with setting up a new business. Has to put some of my cash to good use.Well Oceanfree.... What you see now is much of what I predicted nearly three years ago when I correctly suggested 1400p was top heavy as I still believe today's SP is.When you rely on a circa 45,000 freelance salesforce you have no real control over keeping them motivated when the competition out there is so fierce is difficult.I must admit the SP staying where it is at present has surprised me but fortunately it seems UW has managed to get a lot of lazy customers who don't mind paying over the odds. The recent customer growth figures over the last two years tells its own story in that obtaining new customers is not as once easy as it was.Very much a gamble at today's price in my view when there are many better places for your cash at present.DYOR as ever.. ..it's what has kept me out of trouble over the years.

Re: Two-year high Everything looking good

Two-year high I see that we're pretty much at a two-year high.Hopefully much more scope for upward movement.

Re: Opus energy Hey psmith no market reaction means fair value perception in my books neither under nor over valued , going back to the accounts one set of figures were conspicuous by thier abcence namely the CHURN figures which I am taken aback that you didnt pick up on with your deep research ! New members comming in at 300 per day in thee lead up to xmas dont know if you saw the article in the guardian today but they seem to be of the opinion that things are on the up . Personally I can see lots more business customer joining next year which will reverse a trend in the absence of TML figures in the last couple of reports

psmith64 13 Dec 2016

Re: Opus energy Doesn't seem the wider market shares your enthusiasm Jack. And you can see why....a good revenue stream disappearing from a business facing very stiff competition. As we know new take up of customers is very much down from the good days and the freelance workforce must be getting more and more disenchanted at lots of wasted time.On the last set of results maybe 40,000 + reps fighting over less than 15,000 new customers and with the dark winter nights now upon us not the best to motivate to get out and stand more chance of a wasted journey.I am sure TEP know something needs to be done on the marketing front if they wish to compete with the many leaving the big 6.

Re: Opus energy Not special dividend. Looks like a share repurchase coming - so TEP becomes a smaller business - 5m less annual profit spread across ???? less shares. Have to play with the maths when the details come out. Quite pleased to see that business go - didn't like their ethics.
