As weseem to progressing to ahigher interest rate environment in SQN's key markets I wonder if anyone has thoughts on the imapct of that. I'm not so daming of the risks of speciality finance having previously owned shares in so called blue chip banks. Higher interest markets produce greater risks but opportunities for greater margins.

Re: Snoozebox Thanks for that, Damp. SQN is back to full operation and the divi looks secure. At just over 8%, it is very rich and tempting. However, I mustn't buy anymore as SQN is my biggest holding and it's somewhat higher than it should be. Capital erosion is high atm and it could easily get worse. The price for SQN shares is already at a significant low point and now that the management have sorted out the hiatus with Suniva and Snoozebox, the shares should be defensive. There are no guarantees though.Casa.

Snoozebox In case we iii are not up to date;[link] like an acceptable outcome to me.Let’s hope SQN mgnt can now pay better attention to their investments and avoid any more banana skins

Re: Import tariff It looks like II has now filled in all the lost RNS news announcements so time to check everything to see what we have missed.Regards, WarrenGemini

Re: Import tariff I hadn't realised the news flow had stopped. It begs the question "what else have I missed"? The loan to Suniva is substantial and when it was suspended/frustrated, the sp suffered greatly and has not recovered since. This news is a significant issue to SQN and its investors and, as the sp has not recovered, must have been missed by many pi's.Casa.

Re: Import tariff The II news feed stopped for ITs on 17th January. It seems to have started up again today/yesterday but has not included all the missing announcements in between those dates.Regards, WarrenGemini

Re: Import tariff Interesting. This RNS isn't on the II News feed yet.

Re: Import tariff I think you will find that an RNS was issued on 23rd January @ 09:34, the last para of which states: "These tariffs which will take effect within 15 days, should pave the way for Suniva to be in a position to repay SQN's investment."

casabanker 26 Jan 2018

Re: Import tariff I am anticipating an RNS this afternoon, probably around 2pm as it's a USA matter.Casa.

Re: Import tariff Am a holder and was expecting a SP rise following the announcement, but still waiting.

Re: Import tariff Mr Trump has just announced new tariff barriers on imports of solar panels but it's not just on China but the whole world. I have bought some more SQN today as I am now expecting Suniva to be recompensed. Wish me luck.Casa.
