India to push ahead with Coal power stations, Indian minsters comments and reasoning at climate conference below: the Indian environment minister gave a robust defence of his country's plans to continue using coal while increasing the amount of renewables."My energy consumption is one twelfth that of US and one tenth that of Europe, so don't you think that my people also have a right to grow and use energy?," said Prakash Javadekar."Should they remain in the dark? Is that humanity? That is why I will need power from all sources. We are increasing our renewable targets tenfold in the next 15 years but we will require coal because it is the need of the hour for my people to grow."

Re: Legal & General acquired I have to disagree about L&G at ipo.Too many suits, too much money and not enough snouse.I don't rate them and a buy at ipo, knowing the risks, was no e too bright.I make many mistakes but I wouldn't have made that one.Selling now also a mistake unless they know something we don't.A pullback from here would be no surprise followed by a move higher again.L&G are exhibiting classic buy high sell low behaviour imho.

Re: Legal & General acquired An institution like legal n general don't invest in an ipo without doing their research and £2.50 at that time seemed an attractive price and expected to make a healthy profit at that entry point. It's AIM and the delays and bureaucracy surrounding this project have taken a heavy toll . Management threatened to wrap project up and return funds to shareholders at one point if things weren't resolved and moved forward. However, great progress is bein made at last IMHO as reported last rns, latest satellite images show island now finished and fleet of lorries on Island previously re reclamation have left. Predicted first cargoes 6 to 9 months time. This venture may well be used as a template for Modi's new business growth focused India IMHO and perhaps £4 per share will look very cheap in 3 to 5 years time IMHO. Think £1 in next 3/4 months is a realistic target IMHO and get back towards ipo level once first cargo processed.Seagull

Re: Legal & General acquired They have reduced but I don't take it as too negative because it explains the price action (now we know where the stock came from) and someone bought some decent size chunks and probably not for a quick turn. Some fresh money.Price has perked up since. We have yet to find out if any of the institutions know what they are doing too as some bought on IPO that looked like a stupid idea. If they sell now that might be just as stupid. They got it the wrong way round.Stupid is as stupid does - was that Forrest Gump?

Re: Legal & General acquired They sold some not bought

Legal & General acquired Big stake. Wonder how many more institutions will acquire a stake. Gud to have some stability re investors IMHO. Seagull

Re: Something strange with SP I have done my research, know it's very risky , channel rights etc, proposed port other side lagoon but put every single penny into this via an isa over the years so here's hoping. Figure if bank backed venture then a gud start and seem to not be in competion with jnpt doing bulk cargos especially coal so seem to have a nice niche. Not selling a single share rill £2.50Seagull

Re: Something strange with SP It will be pushed around but the perkiness is welcome. If they bring this project in it's likely people will look back at this price in 3 yrs time and wonder why they didn't buy.

Re: Something strange with SP Looks like same story again today few small sells knock price down thro floor then massive purchases later in day and leave sp where it is and sp will hardly move IMHO. Hope these get investigated as basic rules of supply and demand don't seem to apply here and price is being manipulated IMHO which I believe is illegal, but when has that every stopped stuff happening that shouldn't.Perhaps Bod need to investigate sp movements to ensure price not being manipulated IMHOSeagull

Re: Something strange with SP Yes, and look at what went through at 44p.Some monkeying about. Why pay 44p if you can pick them up cheaper or if you expect the price to go <44p in the near term.Someone is taking a position, slowly. Can't be a transfer to SIPP as why pay that much over the odds.17:52:26 44 70,000 30,80016:22:57 43 5,000 2,15014:36:11 42 2,028 85214:34:17 44 2,000 88014:14:28 44 58,888 25,911
