Re: SLP chart nice chart bonker - it looks to me like 9p is the new base and a purchase at or close to 9p would be as near a racing cert as you can get now that it has broken above your long term downtrend line.

Re: News Due - Arrived Got through the ten are we on a roll

Re: News Due - Arrived Results OK in view of the market. How about a presentation?Get ready for the sell on news brigade, next.GLA

DanDaDan 24 Jan 2017

News Due It looks like news is on the way.Unfinished business - goodbye to the 9s.A time to say hello to the 12s or 15s IMO.The Mcap is still too low. Many are expecting an uplift then a slow return downward. Not if a buyer deal is about to e-merge?Due diligence etc.......GLA.

DanDaDan 20 Jan 2017

Miton Anyone noticed that Miton have bounced back recently. The group have seen assets grow to £2.9bn in the year and have seen an influx of £91m into its 14 funds so far.Are they thinking coming back for some unfinished business, after all of that past expensive research they paid for?Alternatively the 'Polar' ice cap could melt?Growth money needs to find a home, IMO.Just look at this lowly Mcap......GLA.

Re: Buyer Activity? It also looks like this BoD ' don't do News', especially for PIs.So have to agree. Can they prove us wrong?I doubt it.GLA.

Re: Buyer Activity? Good chance this will test the ten markand then fall back to seven ish unlesswe get some positive news.

KALAN 10 Jan 2017

Re: Buyer Activity? platinum dip was short lived Dan - it appears that buyers are getting in on the dips which bodes well for further increases in pm's. Gold around $1190 again and platinum back to around recent highs.

DanDaDan 10 Jan 2017

Buyer Activity? With Platinum prices dropping back you would expect this to drop back a little as well, but it is slowly gathering momentum. It looks like there maybe a buyer accumulating slowly or are they buying back their shares for the treasury again. Using up those cash balances to alleviate a possible dividend or any 'M & A' activity? The volumes are not great, so lets see if we get any late hidden trades in the next few days.News expected in the next few weeks.GLA.

WAKE UP CALL - BoD Ask yourself why is the SLP sp so low, in view of its income streams. The answer must rest with the BoD. They run the company. In my opinion they are not interested in the small PI, who when clustered together now probably make up the largest share holder. The little 'PI gal and guy' want information and evidence of progress not stagnation.Good/Bad fast information flow which Trump is using on twitter for example can pay some nice rewards.Start being more open and tell the world what you are doing SLP. If you don't do it nobody cares, hence stagnation....If the BoD are incapable of talking to investors using the latest web technologies get someone else that can do it.Ask your grand children or a smart young person in the office, they will show you how to use it. It is not rocket science.Give us some news on Volspurit, Grasvally etc, or is this BoD all getting ready for that early retirement pay off? This Mcap is just too low in comparison with other similar companies IMO, but the sp 'is what it is' and the market is fickle. It is a WAKE UP call for the BoD.........You may have pocketed your bonus shares now start to make them increase in value......GLA.

Re: Platinum price Well, platinum it does seem to have bounced back from sub $900 quite strongly and there was good news from a consumption point of view on diesel car sales recovery, post the VW debacle. It is quite extraordinary, to see JLP with a market cap of 40m against SLP's market cap of 24m, given that the latter already produces 60/70k oz pa and the former hopes to produce 12k oz this year and with remarkably similar margins, now that the Conroast myth has been debunked. How can the market be so irrational? What is it that makes investors so seemingly incapable of analyzing companies or is it, as DDD kept saying, the endless PR (a lot of smoke and mirrors, with little tangible data) coming out of the JLP management, keeping dreams alive, whilst the SLP team (including the daughter at the PR company) seem incapable of injecting an ounce of imagination into the present or future? The comparison re the future can so starkly be drawn: JLP entices punters in with chatter of projects 3, 4 and 5 (having changed direction more regularly than a shape shifter to date, that is entirely credible, albeit no more profitable than previous ventures: does anyone really know what the AXA project really is?). Meanwhile, SLP did not even RNS that the DMR had granted an amendment to the Grasvally prospecting right to include the processing of the old waste rock dumps: instead, it was a footnote to an already stunning quarterly update.Well done for your efforts to spread the word on the CEY board, for both SLP and JLP.

Re: Platinum price Kitco News -- Metals may be a primary 2017 Indication of normalized inflation, said Mike McGlone, commodity strategist for Bloomberg Intelligence. 'If the strong performance of metals in 2016 is any indication that inflation is truly normalizing, they could regain their historic role as primary beneficiaries and be key indicators in 2017,' he said on Kitco's Gold Report. McGlone also spoke about the industrial metals, and how they may be taking the luster away from gold. 'Spot silver's 16% increase versus gold's 9% advance, and industrial metals doubling the gains for precious metals in 2016, indicate a shift to the positive in global economic demand,' McGlone explained. As for commodities to watch, McGlone is liking platinum, ' you have to look at the value in the market ...it looks underpriced compared to the other metals right now,' he said.
