Re: Chinese Was that a subtle de-ramp you got in there, suspect there will be better buying opportunities ahead ?Lets see monday morning if you can get in cheaper if they announce a strike 8km from A5 and its a 150meter reservoir ? I acknowledge if its a duster it will be toast

Volumetrics Not knowing the shape of the structure it is difficult to come up with some oil reserve figures for this structure if well 801 finds oil. However it is interesting to speculate using some assumptions. Well 801 is being drilled 8km from well A5. If we assume pessimistically that these two wells are on the edges of the structure and that the structure is fairly flat and is circular (optimistic) and that the oil column averages 100m (we know that it is thicker than that from well A5 which may be at the centre of the structure) then the total rock volume of this oil bearing circular structure would be pie x r x r x thickness (r = radius) = 3.142 x 4000 x 4000 x 100 = 5027 mln cu m. Assume that the average porosity is 15% and the average oil saturation is 80% then oil in place would be about 600 mln cu m or 3.8 billion barrels. If recovery would be 20% then reserves would be 760 mln barrels. One can play around with these assumptions but it wouldn't surprise me that if 801 proved oil then this could be a 1 billion barrel field. Comments on the assumptions very welcome.

Re: Chinese I think it's right that this will go a lot higher and the news of the Chinese is a good sign. But I've watched this rise, fall and then rise and fall again. Suspect there will be better buying opportunities ahead before we all hit the home run.But then again, what do I know?Long time holder, hoping to get rich....

Chinese know a good thing when there on to it, paying 18p before news released is a major confidence boost, in next couple of days the news should be released regarding oil contact with the 801 drill bit, maybe the Chinese are talking to each other?, GLA LTH glad someone is willing to pay more than my entry price here. happy days ahead.

Re: In @ 17p Getting the profit is not normally a problem, it is watching it go negative I seem to be good at.

Great news! Raising additional finance at a premium to the current shareprice cant be bad. Obviously this Chinese backed investor sees Roxi as a great investment

Chances of Success: 50%, unrisked 300mbbls resources with chances of success of 50% (now more than 50% after A5 discovery) with mean unrisked resources of 300 mbbls, I am expecting chances of good news with A801 looks very much higher.

Re: FML, SKR, BAO Based on other wells producing from the same formation below the salt eg Tengis and Kashagan, then 2kb/d looks very pessimistic. Also the 3 deep wells appear to be targetting the same structure ie one field. This is very different to the small post salt fields.

Re: Looking good!! And $100 million in the bank 30 April.

opulentia 08 Apr 2015

Looking good!! with the new fishing equipment on site and commencing hopefully the Clive will have some good news for us this week, the 801 drill is proceeding well and should reach the target this weekend, oil and gas was found at 4332 feet with the A5 drill bit, we will be getting close to that by end of week, imo, an announcement that we have hit gas pressure with core samples being taken will be great news, in the coming days, GLA LTH its been a long time coming , but it looks like its going to get there, nice to see my GKP has done the deal with the Bond holders and we can progress through to a sale of the Company in the coming weeks?, fingers crossed on that.
