My punt's doing well Well, don’t hold onto BOOHOO shares after the results because the Directors usually sell huge amounts sending the SP tumbling.

cosmondo 05 Jun 2018

Re: My punt's doing well You’re probably right Uncle Doug, but I nearly always hold on to shares following results and then regret it. This time of course, I will probably regret selling so soon, but I can never time it right whatever I do. Good luck to you and I may get back in sometime .

Re: My punt's doing well Well done on your gain but IMO much more to be made here. The trick is to be in BEFORE the brokers cotton on. Easter and prom dress sales not in these results. Men's range is really on trend too. I see big upside.

Re: My punt's doing well Thanks for the punt. I bought at £1.44 but think it may fall back a bit now so sold out at £1.70.I will keep watching and maybe get back in sometime but I feel it needs more press coverage and broker recommendations to really move forward any further. Good luck.

Re: Dividend I have been vaguely following this since some posters on Boohoo are obviously into this as well. Is it me or is a 4p spread not a little larger than normal???

Re: ....from ADVFN news feed ....... Good morning CosmondoHowever, ...Amazon have recently changed their image somewhat by buying Wholefoods retail stores in the USA. .... implying that Amazon now believes that smelling and seeing the product DOES actually add value.Similarly, QUIZ DOES have a great sales mix from retail shops AND on-line trading.Amazon could probably get more bang for their buck from expanding QUIZ than they could from the other two , ie, they would have to pay a lot lot more dosh for ASOS or Boohoo anyway; hence new Amazon money could productively go into opening more stores AND on-line expansion.SAGE

Re: ....from ADVFN news feed ....... Are you suggesting Amazon could buy Quiz?Surely Quiz is nothing more than chicken fodder to Amazon. They’re more likely to go for Boohoo or ASOS. They would tie in with Amazon’s modus operandi more than Quiz. Looking forward to Quiz results on 5th June but we pretty much know what they will look like. Quiz needs more broker coverage as it simply isn’t on many people’s radar. Vastly undervalued in my opinion.

....from ADVFN news feed ....... Given Amazon's challenges in Europe's apparel market, some think it could try to repeat its success of buying scale and a site with a fashion focus through a deal in Europe. Amazon declined to comment on potential deals.Euromonitor's Ms. Le Rolland said she thought a purchase was a possibility. Amazon is cash-rich, and an acquisition would be "quite a big shortcut as opposed to building something out," she said.Write to Jeannette Neumann at [email protected] and Laura Stevens at [email protected] (END) Dow Jones NewswiresApril 30, 2018 05:44 ET (09:44 GMT)Copyright (c) 2018 Dow Jones & Company, Inc.SAGE
