Return of capital Will the payout be it £1:10 - £1:40 or whatever be paid as a dividend or a cash payment?

Mngt give pointer to over 118p per share Well you can't get a better steer than that.

Re: Lucky holders Sold out for a 65% profit. I was disappointed with the level of dividend they chose to offer and was thinking of selling anyway when the factory blew up so couldn't believe my luck this morning. The RNS mentions a lengthy process to finalise their liabilities in Wales, so I expect it to be a long time before we get any more information on what they can release to shareholders.I'm hoping the price will slowly drop to 80p before they set an ex-div date.

Re: Lucky holders Very nice, but a blow to Swansea.I agree with noidea1960 re a ball park valuation, so am happy to keep holding. This has made up for a fair bit of the losses I've suffered over the last 12 months. All I need now is for HYR & ZOX to start flying and I might get back into profit.Good luck all, and to those who sold out, my trading history has many similar tales so you have my heartfelt sympathy.Artji

Re: Lucky holders I am a holder and being an insurance broker saw the potential as a Special Situation of a depressed SP with favourable odds on recovery and absolute faith in the insurance claim.Must admit I did not foresee the decision to not reinstate and the recovery has been accelerated by effectively turning fixed assets into cash and realising value to shareeholders through special dividend.Of course unfortunate for the workers in Wales. But as a business that has clearly seen customers leave without good chance of recovering them then reinvesting the claim into new facilities would not have made sense and non recovery of Sales would have seen negative impact of SP. I value this now at 125p (like to think that is what we'll get back in cash) + US business at 30p but lets call it 150p rounded down. So still 50% uplift and I may buy more.

Lucky holders Well done all those who held on here after the fire, what a great result for you.I sold out thinking that the price would take years to get back to normal.I saw price ticking up last week and thought how strange.Well you never can tell with aim.Brilliant.

Re: Recent rise I am with you with the condolences. Most certainly the outcome is a severe blow to the local economy and I do not delight in any way that a lot of people's lives will be severely affected. With regard however to what will be:The management have said not to expect more than 125 per share as a special dividend and half the company is still operating in Arizona. The management have been on the ball and very, very wise with regard to insurance. The profits are now to some extent cast in stone and as such that dividend can't be far off the mark. The value of the Arizona facility is now so well defined...it seems to point in the short term to somewhere in the region of 125/share...and no doubt offers for the business will, if they have not already been coming in. A very simple calculation and a valuation of 250/ share is derived.

Re: Recent rise A tragedy for Swansea and for the reputation of South Wales as a growing high tech industrial area. I pray that the local universities and risk capital providers can find one or more promising opportunities in replacement.Take your money and run. Put it into good British high tech industry.E

Re: Recent rise Seems so. Leaky leaky.....As a Swansea resident myself, let me at the outset give my condolences to those who have lost their jobs and hope it works out for them. But it seems that the fire has otherwise "conveniently" allowed for a cash sale at what people perceive is a good price. That all depended upon the insurance policy being a comprehensive and fully paid one - which it does appear to be.For my part I took the decision that the risks were too high and I sold out on the news with no loss. I did do precisely because it was a play on agreed insurance outcome on the circumstances the co itself states "the costs of rebuilding the factory and replacing the specialist machinery, the time which this would take (with the attendant costs risk) and the fact that many of the customers of the Swansea facility have already migrated to competitors with no certainty that they would re-engage with the Company on an economically viable basis following full reinstatement"So another profit gone begging, bu I suppose that is the nature of risk management......FWD

Recent rise I guess the recent share rise reflects a settlement. If the business interruption is paid and the rebuilding cost...this share has to fly?

Re: Valuation of parts points towards 80... I'm an Insce Broker dealing in Property and BI.The basis of indemnity will be reinstatement as new for bdg and plant etc. They can even elect to build on a different site in a different country and insurers will still pay for as new provided it is not more than at existing site. The NAV will increase as all new facilities.

Re: Valuation of parts points towards 80... Personally, I don't think it will reopen. The costs involved and the returns wouldn't make any commercial sense. The Far East and the US are the hub for Fabs, so why have a wafer reclaim in Wales? The institutional holders are likely to steer the outcome. If it does happen, most of the components are readily available, so it could be done in 6-9mths, but the qualifying period is the problem, as each customer would have to go through this, which could take the same time again. Re: Valuation of parts points towards 80p Thanks for the vivid insight Spankaroo. I just wonder how long it would take to build the new factory if the management go down that route?
